Example Of What A Yardmaster does

  • Switch rail cars accordingly to customers needs Update Trainmaster of any changes
  • Receive information regarding train or rail problems from dispatchers or from electronic monitoring devices.
  • Work with other yardmasters to maintain the schedule of freight movements as well as the safe movement of sensitive material.
