We are seeking a seasoned Senior SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) AMS consultant with 15-20 years of overall SAP experience to manage and deliver Application Management Services (AMS).
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in SAP EWM, proven AMS delivery leadership, and significant transition experience as a receiver, ensuring a seamless handover from prior support teams.
This role requires strong stakeholder management, process governance, and hands-on problem-solving skills to stabilize and optimize SAP EWM operations in a complex, global environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. AMS Delivery & Operations
SAP EWM AMS delivery, ensuring SLA compliance and high-quality service.
Manage incident, problem, change, and release management activities following ITIL standards.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
Ensure operational stability of the SAP EWM landscape (both Decentralized and Embedded).
Collaborate with offshore delivery teams for 24x7 coverage and global service continuity.
2. Transition Management (as Receiver)
Act as the primary onsite lead during AMS transition, ensuring complete and accurate knowledge transfer from the incumbent vendor or implementation team.
Validate and document processes, configurations, and open tickets during transition.
Identify gaps, risks, and dependencies in the incoming support scope.
Establish transition governance, reporting mechanisms, and issue resolution frameworks.
Drive stabilization phase post-transition and ensure smooth handover into steady-state AMS operations.
3. Functional Expertise
Provide advanced functional and operational support for:
Inbound & Outbound Logistics
Internal Warehouse Processes & Task Management
Handling Unit (HU) & Wave Management
RF Framework, Labor Management, Slotting & Rearrangement
Storage Control & Cross-Docking
Support integrations with SAP S/4HANA, TM, GTS, QM, and 3PL systems.
Deliver minor enhancements, system tuning, and continuous process improvements.
4. Stakeholder & Team Interactions
Serve as the onsite interface between client business/IT teams and offshore delivery centers.
Mentor a team of onsite/offshore SAP consultants.
Build strong relationships with client stakeholders and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
5. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
Identify automation and optimization opportunities to improve service efficiency.
Support innovation projects, such as migration to S/4HANA Embedded EWM or warehouse automation integration.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge management and documentation.
