As Stanford Medicine Center for Improvement (SMCI) Executive Administrator, this executive position will organize and provide leadership for initiatives that improve safety, quality and value across Stanford Medicine. The Stanford Medicine Center for Improvement Executive Administrator will provide strategic direction for and manage the Stanford Medicine Center for Improvement and all its programs and initiatives.
This position is required to be on-site five days per week for the first three months. After this initial period, a hybrid work schedule (combination of on-site and remote work) may be considered based on performance, operational needs, and department approval.
Duties include:
Oversee the management of SMCI staff and affiliates (technically, operationally, and administratively), including planning and directing the activities of SMCI; monitoring projects for timely completion and quality
Organize and provide leadership for SMCI performance improvement activities and training. Oversee the planning, execution and integration of initiatives and activities related to SMCI operations and goals.
Lead and/or collaborate in program management of SMCI operations including Advanced Course in Improvement Science, annual Lean Healthcare Academic Conference planning, SMCI Quality Symposium, SMCI Lecture Series, SMCI newsletter, SMCI website, SMCI-related grant programs, and SMCI membership.
·Assess processes to determine how to reduce rework, improve quality, improve efficiency, increase revenue and/or improve the ability to deliver desired services or outputs within SMCI programs and activities.
Oversee SMCI educational programs and SMCI convenings, including planning, execution, and evaluation for improvement opportunities.
Provide direction and oversight to SMCI collaborators to execute on SMCI strategic direction.
Develop and maintain local and national contacts and collaborators in healthcare improvement in service to growing the center reputation and national impact.

In this role, you will focus on genome, epigenome, and transcriptome (GET) analyses (specifically WGS, ATAC-seq, and RNA-seq) running the pipelines and tools that convert raw sequencing data into clean, analysis-ready results for the consortium. You will architect and operate scalable workflows that adhere to best practices, including WGS variant calling and joint genotyping, RNA-seq quantification and differential expression, and ATAC-seq peak calling and differential accessibility. You will adapt rigorous QC frameworks across modalities; produce integrated multi-omics analyses (e.g., linking genetic variation, chromatin accessibility, and gene expression through eQTL/ca QTL/colocalization); and deliver clear visualizations, genome browser tracks, and interactive dashboards that enable collaborative interpretation across teams.
Your work will span data engineering and software development: building reproducible pipelines with Nextflow and/or WDL/Cromwell, containerizing and testing them for reliable deployment on cloud and HPC environments; leveraging GCP services such as Cloud Storage and BigQuery; and designing robust schemas for omics metadata and results. Job Summary:
The Department of Neurology at the University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking to recruit a dynamic candidate to expand its clinical and/or basic science research programs within our Behavioral Section. The position is full time faculty, with the opportunity for academic promotion, which is determined on criteria of demonstrated excellence in the areas of education, research, clinical care, and community service. We are seeking individuals who are collaborative, communicative, caring, detail oriented, organized, proactive, able to think critically, focused on quality, dedicated to personal growth, and highly motivated.
The duties for this faculty position include teaching, research, clinical service, and administrative duties, leadership, and other roles. The overall distribution of such activities and allocation of responsibilities is determined by the Section Head based on section needs and faculty member skills, interests, appointments, and funding, amongst other appropriate considerations. Applicant must be willing to care for patients with a chronic, sometimes severe illness and be willing to perform procedures with training (including Lumbar punctures)
Specific responsibilities include providing subspecialty care to patients with Alzheimer's, Dementia, and other neurodegenerative conditions. The section has numerous grants and contracts for clinical research alone and several members also collaborate on all studies a either principal investigator or co-investigator. The section's clinical research program represents a balance between contract studies and investigator-initiated studies including funding from NINDS, NMSS, and PCORI. Additional obligations include supervision of medical students, residents, fellows supervision of patient procedures, and teaching of the house-staff as well as students.
Teaching activities including attending neurology services, leading teaching conferences and training medical students, residents and fellows.
Research, scholarship, and educational activities derive from faculty member's specific interests related to the field of Behavioral Neurology. All faculty participate in academic endeavors, including the educational conferences, research and scholarly activities of the section and the department. The section and the department assist in developing individual, scholarly projects via access to and the assistance of the department's well-established research support infrastructure (centralized within the department), including 15-20 highly efficient research coordinators.
Administrative responsibilities will include data entry into hospital systems, development of critical pathways, committee work, and projects aimed at improving the section and department functions. It is assumed the bulk of this non-clinical time will be spent working toward the production of scholarship activities. Attendance at meetings and educational events of the department and sections programs is expected.
Other duties may be assigned as need arises.
Work Location: This role is hybrid; mostly located on campus but also includes some Telehealth remote work.

The Behavioral Neurology Section also maintains a close association with the Marcus Institute for Brain Health at the Anschutz Medical Campus, a unique academic entity dedicated to the assessment and care of patients with mild TBI.

POSITION OBJECTIVE
The Associate Dean of Alumni Relations and Development has primary responsibility to provide the strategic leadership of a comprehensive advancement program for the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing's highest strategic priorities that impact the school's future and national reputation. The associate dean is responsible for leading the national and international leadership gifts program, which includes major and principal gift strategies and opportunities. The associate dean is responsible for the development of overall fundraising plans for the strategic priorities in alignment with the overarching strategies of the nursing school and the university's division of University Relations and Development. As an experienced development professional, the associate dean is expected to engage in direct face-to-face cultivation, solicitation and stewardship of donors, and collaborate with university relations and development in developing strategies for the university's fundraising, alumni, annual fund and communications programs, and plan and implement initiatives for the nursing school's highest priorities, national and international development, and major and principal gifts, alumni relations programs, and the annual giving program. The associate dean is responsible for the leadership of all the development and alumni relations functions and staff at the nursing school. The associate dean is a key member of the dean's senior administrative group, advises the dean, department chairs, and members of the faculty, and serves as a primary point of contact to the external community on the positioning of development programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Manage a discreet portfolio of high-capacity prospective donors to maximize gifts from the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing's individual and foundation constituents. (40%)
* Work in partnership with the dean of the nursing school and the vice president for health sciences development to develop and execute strategies targeted at the highest-level donors and prospects for the nursing school. (20%)

Essential Functions
Duties - The following examples of typical work activities are meant to illustrate the general range of work functions and are not meant to be all-inclusive or restrictive:
(40%) Coach-specific team positions under the direction of the head coach. Instruct individual athletes on the fundamentals of the sport, application of strategy, and proper techniques. Assist with strength and conditioning program implementation, opponent scout, and team travel logistics.
(40%) Instruct classes in the Athletic Department, specifically PE 196 Varsity Athletics classes and/or PE 180 Varsity Conditioning classes. Prep work for the class could include film evaluation, practice planning, conditioning/workout planning, game day coaching, and travel with the team to away games. PE 196 and PE 180 classes are regularly scheduled and have a grade option of A-F, or Pass/No-Pass. AAI's are responsible for assigning grades at the end of the term based on standards spelled out in an established syllabus for these courses.
(20%) Assist in developing effective recruitment strategies, managing an assigned recruiting territory, following up on prospective student-athletes, and researching and targeting high schools to visit. Other duties may be performed within the title of administrative work, such as game management, facility management, fundraising, resident hall supervision and Athletic department coordination with the resident halls.

Demonstrated customer service experience requiring a very high level of diplomacy and professionalism to effectively handle a broad range of sensitive interpersonal situations.

Demonstrated ability to proactively assess work operations and anticipate potential problems; ability to develop and implement strategies for preventing/resolving problems.

Must be willing to travel and attend training programs off-site for occasional professional development.
Must be able to work additional hours and adjust working hours to meet special jobs. May be called back periodically to perform work as needed on an emergency basis.
