Position Title: IT Support Technical Instructor (A+)
Location: Detroit, Michigan
Per Scholas seeks a dynamic, team-oriented Technical Instructor to ensure Per Scholas' adult students are equipped with the necessary skills for success in entry and mid-level tech careers. The Technical Instructor will deliver Per Scholas' structured and approved curriculum in full-time technical training.

Per Scholas is seeking a multi-talented Instructor and Technology professional to deliver high-quality instruction to a diverse student population who are seeking to acquire skills and credentials that will prepare them for career opportunities in technology. Technical training competencies include, but are not limited to: hardware, software, networking, security, server, mobility, virtualization, and project management.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Deliver classroom training in a highly interactive style to prepare adult students for entry-level to mid-level careers in Information Technology
Provide daily instruction, assessment administration, attendance, one-on-one tutoring, evaluation, and monitoring of individual student progress
Manage student behavior, monitor and enforce student class attendance, dress code, and other program policies in a consistent manner as a partner with your peers in the professional development of all adult learners
Work in collaboration with the Senior Director, Program Development and Design to identify and continually evaluate and evolve the curriculum as new technologies become available
Work closely with the Program team to identify student needs, provide the necessary support, establish individualized plans for student achievement, and participate in regular student status meetings
Maintain and update Salesforce and Canvas with student grades, certifications, scores, and progress notes
Provide students with insight into career tracks within the field and advise on career opportunities and types of positions that would be commensurate with their skills and credentials
Work with Business Solutions to recommend students for particular employment opportunities
Create, submit and maintain training curricula for approval and files
Work closely with staff in other sites to ensure the integrity of implementing the model
Order books, materials, vouchers for exams in advance of training
Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, employer visits, and professional events as applicable
Perform all other related work delegated or required to accomplish the objectives of the total school program
Meet professional teacher education requirements of school and state
Participate in appropriate professional activities and development

Required Experience
At least 1 year of teaching experience
At least 1 year of IT Work experience

Overview:
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented AV/IT Technician to support the development, implementation, and maintenance of tech systems.
Position Type:
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position that will work in-person at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum in Cooperstown, NY. The salary range for this position is $25-29 per hour. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain show control, audio, video, and lighting systems in exhibition galleries and event spaces.
Detect, define, and troubleshoot AV system issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Assist with the installation of AV systems for new museum exhibits.
Support hybrid video conference meetings.
Act as primary point of contact for AV vendors and integrators.
Work with events team to fulfill all event AV and IT requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve desktop, laptop, and mobile device issues, including operating system and application problems.
Conduct routine system maintenance, such as updates, backups, and malware scans.
Escalate complex issues when necessary.

Qualifications
Education/Experience:
CTS certification or equivalent work experience. Candidate must earn a CTS certification within the first year of employment.
One to three years of experience working in the AV field. Previous live event and IT experience is a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
Working knowledge of amplification and loudspeaker equipment, audio mixing, digital signal processing, and recording.
Working knowledge of show control and lighting systems.
Working knowledge of video recording, switching, playback, and distributing equipment.

Position Description:
The Visual Information Specialist intern will build upon Blackwell School's NPS website, expand its social media presence, foster community engagement and connections, and create visual materials. Authorized as a National Park Service (NPS) unit in October 2022, Blackwell School National Historic Site (BLSC) is managed by Fort Davis National Historic Site. In July 2024, BLSC was officially established as the 430th unit in the NPS. The LHIP intern will work to expand the new park's story to the public, students, and visitors.
Duties:
The intern will work under the Fort Davis National Historic Site (FODA) Interpretation Division to create content for the newly established BLSC. The intern will serve as a visual information specialist, supporting public outreach through multimedia projects. Duties will include building new components of the official park website, assisting in capturing video/photos for park events or programs, updating park social media sites, and engaging in community outreach. The intern will support program plans developed by supervisors for the visual aspects of materials such as photographs, illustrations, diagrams, graphs, objects, charts, and web content. These materials will be used in books, magazines, pamphlets, exhibits, live or video-recorded speeches or lectures, and other forms of communication.
The intern will participate in document planning and public input/outreach activities, be present during site visits with IMR Regional NPS Program leads, and attend meetings with other NPS partners. There may be additional travel to other locations to assist with information gathering and possible oral history efforts. Use of a government vehicle is required.
