Grounds Keeper Position Overview:
In this role, you'll be essential in keeping our community grounds and facilities well-maintained and visually appealing. Responsibilities include cleaning up trash and debris, raking leaves, sweeping walkways, mowing lawns, and trimming trees and hedges. In addition, your main focus will be adding curb appeal to the community.
Grounds Keeper Essential Functions:
Maintain community assets including grounds, buildings, equipment, pools, etc.
Mow lawns and trim edges around walks, flower beds, etc.
Landscaping, including but not limited to, mowing, trimming, planting flowers, maintaining tree limbs and prune the grounds as needed
Perform minor repairs on equipment utilized in groundskeeping
Follow all OSHA standards and maintain PPE equipment
Respond to emergency calls as directed by management if applicable.
Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and residents.
Assist with maintenance tasks, including but not limited to delivering notices and conducting meter reads as directed by the community manager
Maintain safe winter road conditions through snow removal and de-icing when applicable

Grounds Keeper Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for up to eight (8) hours per day
Use of hands, including fingers, to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls in a repetitive motion.
Capacity to reach with arms and hands overhead and in front of your body safely.
Frequently required to be flexible by climbing, balancing, or occasionally crawling in confined spaces
Ability to see clearly at both far and close distances as well as the capacity to adjust focus effectively.
Required to regularly push, pull, lift, or carry 50 lbs. Occasionally up to 85 lbs.
