Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked and well organized work area. Give facility tours and orientations to new or prospective members as needed. Actively promote the Y, memberships, programs, services, and lessons, as well as promotions and/or discounts available. Provide accurate, appropriate and immediate responses to all requests by members/guests. Provide detailed descriptions of Y memberships, programs, services, facility features and hours of operation. Properly open, perform daily tasks and close wellness area each day according to Standard Operating Procedures. Set a good example in promptness, respect, manners, honesty and caring for all members, program participants and guests. Adhere to policies related to boundaries with consumers Attend/complete required abuse risk management training Adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising consumers Follow mandated reporting requirements Qualifications Must be at least 16 years of age and/or Junior in High School.     Campus Ministry Intern - Carolinas Region (Undergraduate Ministry) Job Type: Full time To advance the purpose of InterVarsity, this position is focused on learning and preparing for the full responsibilities of a Campus Minister. The associate will be assigned campus work based on strengths and growth areas determined by the application process. This is a 16 month position in which the individual receives intensive training and exercises ministerial functions consistent with a campus minister. The associate is paid a monthly salary. A supervisory decision, with input from the Campus Ministry Associate, is made at the end of the term of service as to whether the individual is suitable for continuing employment with InterVarsity. The Campus Ministry Associate may end employment at any time with notice given. INTEREST FORM If you are new to InterVarsity in the Carolinas and have not spoken with one of our Area Directors about the possibility of applying to work with us, please complete this interest form and wait for us to contact you before proceeding with the application. PLACEMENT Upon completion of the general application to work for InterVarsity's Carolinas Region, you will be contacted about interviewing for positions in our region. Following your interview if an internship offer is made, we will offer you a training site at one of the predetermined training sites in the Carolinas. We will consider your preferred location, your ministry strength, the training sites we have available, and our places of greatest need. Our Internship is typically 16 months long beginning in September and ending 16 months later in December. This position is also responsible for reporting any errors or discrepancies to their supervisor to be resolved. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for processing requests; selecting, pulling, packing, labeling, and shipping orders. Read orders to ascertain description sizes, colors, and quantities of merchandise. Identify product discrepancies and proactively resolve issues regarding them. Builds and breaks down cargo containers and pallets using necessary equipment. Sorts, dimentionalizes and labels freight using necessary equipment. Report to work and from all breaks on time. Ensure that scanners are placed on the charger and not left unattended on the warehouse floor during breaks, lunch periods, or at the close of business. Perform tasks related to shipping and transportation of orders; perform all functions of cargo handling including, but not limited to processing, loading, and off-loading freight. Possible use of other company equipment safely (forklift, scissor lift, etc.) Required to stay current on all shipping regulations and procedures and ensure that employees are adhering to these changes. Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements. Understands, follows, and enforces the Supply Chain Philosophy.
