Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree

Description: Under the direction of the Association Sales Director, the Membership Sales Director directs all aspects of membership sales for the branch including recruitment of new members, lead management and follow up, inside sales, inbound and outbound phone activities. Develops, plans and implements new procedures and methods to achieve strategic goals and marketing strategies. Deliver cause-driven tours with a consultative sales approach that tailors to the needs of prospective members and connecting them with the Y's many service offerings and mission.
Duties:
Implements membership sales strategies that promote new membership sales and produce positive net gains.
Manage the new membership acquisition process from lead through ensuring the close of sale.
Lead all aspects of driving qualified prospects; lead cause-driven tours and ensure new sales targets are met through daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals.
Lead new business development opportunities, establish new business partnerships, as well as utilities inside sales and phone techniques that drive new membership sales.
Participates in the planning of the annual budget; manages and implements the approved budget for membership and takes appropriate action to correct variances.
Participates in the recruitment, training and development of personnel as needed.
Keeps the team motivated to achieve goals.
Ensures proper implementation of sales procedures. Coordinates with the business office as necessary on financial transactions.
Utilizes SalesForce and technology resources for effective sales and lead management; tracking of memberships, reports, KPIs and other data to maximize new membership acquisition sales goals.
Coordinates the financial assistance process for the branch.
Organizes membership events at the YMCA and represents the YMCA at community events to promote the YMCA.
Leads assigned aspects of the fund-raising campaign.
Follows up on canceled members to begin prospecting them for future potential membership.
Works closely with Association marketing staff to coordinate and implement the branch marketing plan.
Requirements:
Bachelors degree in related field or equivalent combination of business education and/or experience.
Minimum of 3 years of direct sales experience.
Minimum of 3 years previous supervisory experience in customer service to include training, and motivating staff and volunteers.
Must possess excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills with the ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
High skill level in organizing, planning, time management and implementation of administrative procedures.
Microsoft Office proficiency required.
Excellent interpersonal, public relations, communication and influencing skills.
Ability to work a variety of hours based on business needs; including evenings and weekends. Ability to work as a positive team player to provide support to the membership staff team.
Required within 30 days of hire: CPR; First Aid; AED.
