What we're looking for
The right person will be provide oversight for and participate in planning, direction, coordination, for the educational activities for the facility. This includes program development as well as staff education and patient education. The Senior Education Specialist serves as a resource person to staff and management.
Applicants must have a current VA RN (or compact state) License. Additional requirements include:
Graduate of a professional school of Nursing.

Basic Life Support certification is required.

Perioperative Support Specialist 2 Responsibilities
Facilitates the transferring/positioning of patients in the operating room in addition to assisting with patient surgical preparation as requested and directed by the nursing staff.
Prepares the operating room for cases by opening sterile supplies/instruments and maintaining awareness of aseptic technique.
Reads and understands the OR schedule and preference cards to prepare for the next surgical encounter.
Retrieves and delivers requested supplies and instruments to Operating Rooms to minimize the circulating nurse's time out of the room.
Gathers and packs instruments and sterile supplies for scheduled and added cases to provide efficient procedure set up of surgical cases.
Checks and validates case carts.
Sets up rooms for the next day with standard equipment.
Changes/Replaces tanks.
Takes specimens and cultures to lab as needed.
Maintains Temperature Logs.
Submits tickets to Engineering to ensure a safe environment of care for our patients and team members.
Supports additional projects or duties as assigned.

Certification - Basic Life Support Upon Start
Experience - 2 Healthcare/Hospitality Recent Hospital experience and/or previous surgical services experience.

, we fulfill the contractual agreement with Child Care Aware of America in hiring, training, and monitoring qualified care providers for Military families who have a child/ren with special needs, exceptional family members (EFM). These families are eligible for up to 32 hours/month of respite sponsored by the Military. This position reports to the Respite Care Program Director.
Position Summary:
The Respite Support Specialist supports activities of the Exceptional Family Member (EFM) Respite Care Team. They are responsible for the recruitment, training, and monitoring of care providers. Additionally, they serve as liaison between participating families and Child Care Aware of America. They will regularly engage in verbal and written communication between partner agencies, families, and providers. This position requires strong organizational skills and critical thinking. Regular communication to Providers, Families and Respite Team are critical to success in the position.
Essential Functions:
1. Meet with families and EFM children to identify their unique needs.
2. Work individually and as a team member to match participating families with appropriate respite care provider(s).
3. Conduct in-home monitoring visits to observe and assess environments and provider practices and provide technical assistance which includes mentoring, role modeling, and ongoing consultation as needed to ensure program standards are met.
4. Conduct routine audit checks on family and provider files to ensure smooth execution of the annual audit conducted by Child Care Aware of America.
5. Maintain close communication with families to ensure care expectations are met and delivery of services is effective.
6. Maintain program, family, and provider documentation as established by program guidelines.
7. Manage administrative responsibilities such as parent contracts, data collection, demographic data, eligibility changes, etc.
