Quality Manager
Barton Malow Company is seeking a Construction Quality Manager to join our Preconstruction department for a project located near New Albany, OH. This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the company's quality program, ensuring compliance with quality and standards in self-perform, subcontractor, and vender performance on various construction projects. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of construction QA/QC inspection experience on industrial, automotive, and energy projects, familiarity with construction inspection and testing techniques. Travel is expected as part of the role.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintaining an effective quality control program by meeting the requirements of the Barton Malow Quality Manual, applicable codes, drawings, specifications, standards, procedures and other related contract documents.
Review and approval of subcontractor quality programs, inspection and test procedures, and inspection and testing personnel qualification records.
Ensuring that all required testing and inspections are performed.
Establishing “Witness” and “Hold” points for inspection as deemed appropriate.
Identifying and controlling the disposition of nonconformance items, including stop work orders, corrective action planning, and disposition approval and inspection verification.
Initiate corrective action for deviation in corporate document and process compliance.
Coordination of qualified testing laboratories or third-party inspection agencies where needed to assure compliance.
Submitting a monthly quality report identifying measurable quality results.
Collect, organize, and maintain project quality documentation including testing and inspection logs, test reports, receiving inspections, off-site vendor quality inspections, corrective actions, and other metrics that comprise quality management key performance indicators.
Coordination with the Project Manager on all quality issues.
Be heavily involved with and potentially manage the system used to ensure safety a start-up of equipment and systems
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
5 years' experience of construction QA/QC inspection experience on industrial, automotive, and energy projects.
Willingness to travel for extended periods for assignments within the region.
Experience with construction inspection and testing techniques.
Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification preferred.
OSHA 30 Hour certification preferred.
Strong verbal and written communications skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Represent the executive and company in the utmost professional manner.
May serve as Learning Coordinator responsible for working with BUL/Department Heads and HR to determine annual training needs.
Create training schedules for BU/departments and communicate scheduled company training opportunities to employees to encourage participation.
Organize and execute training, including scheduling, sending reminders, providing facilitator with necessary training materials, and ordering/organizing catering.

Associates or Bachelor's degree in business or related field

Company: Barton Malow Company Sr. Construction Scheduler (Industrial) Barton Malow Company is seeking a Sr. Construction Scheduler for a data center project near Philadelphia, PA. The Lead Scheduler will be assigned to a large, complex, and fast-paced construction projects. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and an effective team player with excellent communication and client service skills. Building strong relationships with operational personnel to drive processes and deliver results is key to the role. This will be a remote position with weekly site visits to project sites.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead planning and scheduling efforts for the project and assist the project team in developing detailed project schedules.
* Monitor and track schedule progress, ensuring that subcontractor and owner reporting requirements are met.
* Establish baseline schedules, draft narratives, and conduct variance, float, and delay analyses.
* Forecast the project from a schedule perspective, aligning schedule performance with cost and manhour projections.
* Supervise and mentor Planning & Scheduling team members to ensure project goals are met.
* Drive the change management process, documenting scope changes or unforeseen issues affecting the schedule, and managing the incorporation of fragments and Time Impact Analysis (TIA) as needed.
* Proactively communicate any risk factors that arise during the project to on-site personnel and upper management to ensure timely action is taken.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment between the project schedule and its associated milestones.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
* Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a similar field is required.
* 5+ years of experience in Planning & Scheduling within the engineering or construction industry.
* Prior industrial experience; including automotive, mission-critical (data centers), and clean energy projects.
* Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 Professional for project scheduling.
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer).
* Basic proficiency with Bluebeam, Autodesk Build, and Box.
* Strong ability to manage and communicate work effectively with all team members.
* Excellent time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
* Demonstrated ability to identify, track, and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

The role will include planning, developing, coordinating, and managing onsite construction engineering activities for large, extensive construction projects. Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities
* Project Execution: Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule. Provide technical support for construction effort including participation in construction planning and design; interpretation of design; application of construction methods; resolution and documentation of design conflicts; constructability reviews, and shop drawing processing. Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other work controlling documents.
* Resource Management: Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities. This includes subcontractor planning and administration, and work assignments. Interface all on-site departments as required to resolve problems, ensure quality of construction in support of overall project schedules.
* Risk Management: Represent company, project and/or department during A/E, client and project management meetings.
* Technical Support: Key technical person on projects. May be responsible for one or more small to medium sized project.
Qualifications
To qualify for the role, you must have
* 4-year engineering degree or equivalent technical training and related experience.
* Minimum of 3 years similar construction engineering experience.
* Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc., plus an in-depth understanding of the interdependence and relationship between other functional units required.

Sr. Construction Scheduler (Industrial)
Barton Malow Company is seeking a Sr. Construction Scheduler for a data center project near Philadelphia, PA. The Lead Scheduler will be assigned to a large, complex, and fast-paced construction projects. The ideal candidate will be flexible, adaptable, and an effective team player with excellent communication and client service skills. Building strong relationships with operational personnel to drive processes and deliver results is key to the role. This will be a remote position with weekly site visits to project sites.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead planning and scheduling efforts for the project and assist the project team in developing detailed project schedules.
Monitor and track schedule progress, ensuring that subcontractor and owner reporting requirements are met.
Establish baseline schedules, draft narratives, and conduct variance, float, and delay analyses.
Forecast the project from a schedule perspective, aligning schedule performance with cost and manhour projections.
Supervise and mentor Planning & Scheduling team members to ensure project goals are met.
Drive the change management process, documenting scope changes or unforeseen issues affecting the schedule, and managing the incorporation of fragments and Time Impact Analysis (TIA) as needed.
Proactively communicate any risk factors that arise during the project to on-site personnel and upper management to ensure timely action is taken.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain alignment between the project schedule and its associated milestones.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a similar field is required.
5+ years of experience in Planning & Scheduling within the engineering or construction industry.
Prior industrial experience; including automotive, mission-critical (data centers), and clean energy projects.
Proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 Professional for project scheduling.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet Explorer).
Basic proficiency with Bluebeam, Autodesk Build, and Box.
Strong ability to manage and communicate work effectively with all team members.
Excellent time management and organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to identify, track, and complete tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Gilbane is seeking a Senior MEP Manager - Data Center to lead and mentor the MEP teams on multiple projects while working with Project Managers and Project Executives to help define regional needs and project specific needs in all areas of MEP. Responsibilities
Protects Gilbane and the owner from cost, quality, and schedule impacts
Coordinates with Project Managers and MEP staff to gain an understanding of needs and how to best assist each project
Provides oversight and assumes accountability for MEP-GMP preparation
Assists with the development and implementation of the Project Execution Plan
Manages the MEO document review process, Value Engineering, and constructability in conjunction with MEP field staff
Assumes overall responsibility for the buyout, installation, and testing of control systems on multiple projects
Establishes long term relationships with clients to ensure repeat business
Assumes overall responsibility for the MEP discipline and associated staff members on simultaneous complex projects
Identifies staffing needs and assess staff skill levels
Provides leadership in peer group activities
Responsible for the career development and coaching of team members
Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment to motivate and engage team members
Interprets and translates the organizational strategy, ensuring team understanding of their role in accomplishing strategic goals
Collaborates closely with business development to ensure seamless integration with sales strategies including performance metrics on your assigned projects, pursuits, and client deliverables. Qualifications
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
15+ years related field experience
Experience in a supervisory role on a large project
OSHA 30 hour certified
Or equivalent combination of education and experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
Ability to troubleshoot MEP systems
Strong scheduling skills with proficiency in scheduling software
Strong risk management skills
Ability to manage the quality assurance process for all MEP work
Ability to create an environment where “safety first” is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude
Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team.
For Ohio this ranges from $163,000-224,200 plus benefits and retirement program.
