Its expertise includes creating urban, mixed-use neighborhoods like Santana Row in San Jose, California, Pike & Rose in North Bethesda, Maryland and Assembly Row in Somerville, Massachusetts. These unique and vibrant environments that combine shopping, dining, living and working provide a destination experience valued by the communities they serve. Federal Realty has increased its dividends for 51 consecutive years, the longest record in the REIT industry. The company is an S&P 500 index member and its shares are traded on the NYSE. The company has been led by New Jersey-native Don Wood since 2002. Don, along with his dedicated and passionate team, is committed to a philosophy of balance in all that Federal Realty does. From environmental and socially responsible initiatives and operations, to supporting the communities in which they do business, to the creation of true retail social destinations that improve the quality of life for many, to providing a superior return to its stakeholders – Federal Realty is proud of its long history and corporate citizenry. Don has been with Federal Realty since 1998, where he is a Trustee and has served in positions from Chief Financial Officer to Chief Operating Officer to President before being named its Chief Executive in 2002. Don’s daughter, Rachel, was born with the genetic disease.
