1936: Hadassah supports Young Judaea with a $2500 grant.
1948: Camp Tel Yehudah is founded.
With money borrowed from a bank and donations from concerned Jews around the state, Camp Young Judaea began in 1952.
1963: Young Judaea is the only Jewish youth group to send an official delegation to the Civil Rights March on Washington.
1970: Camp Young Judaea Midwest is established.
The camp continued to grow and in 1971, due in large part to a matching fund bequest of $100,000 in the will of Ben G. Barnett, Camp Young Judaea obtained its present location.
