Job Description: Essential Duties: Perform preventive maintenance such as changing oil, greasing and replacing components on a scheduled basis. Troubleshoot/diagnose heavy equipment malfunctions and replace parts, repair and rebuild as necessary. Dismantle and reassemble equipment using hoists and hand tools. Read blueprints and follow service manuals and parts lists in setting up and performing repairs and rebuilds. Utilize work orders and requisitions for ordering parts and maintenance of equipment cost records. Advise when immediate shut-down of equipment is necessary to minimize damage or when continued operation will have no harmful effect.
