What You'll Be Doing:
Serve as the primary legal advisor to Sales, including frontline support to sales managers, regional directors, and national accounts.
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements:
Sales contracts
RFPs and bid submissions
Master sales agreements
Distribution agreements
Terms & conditions
Statements of work
Act as the legal lead for complex and high-value deals, ensuring alignment with internal risk tolerances and business goals.
Develop contract playbooks, fallback positions, and negotiation strategies to increase speed and consistency.
Build strong relationships with sales leadership and act as a trusted partner, not a roadblock.
Provide practical, risk-informed advice that helps the team secure deals while protecting the business.
Facilitate trainings for Sales on contract basics, negotiation tactics, and customer engagement.
Promote a team-first, business-enabling mindset across the Legal department.
What We're Looking For:
J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
4-8+ years of experience in commercial contracting, preferably with:
In-house experience supporting sales or business teams; or
Law firm experience with commercial transactions.
Demonstrated success partnering with business stakeholders and supporting RFPs.
Strong understanding of contract law, commercial risk allocation, and negotiation dynamics.
Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex legal concepts in simple, business-focused terms to business stakeholders and executive leadership.
High degree of adaptability, creativity, and resourcefulness.
Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excel in a role with high-volume of work.
Must be self-motivated and high energy.
