PRN staff play a vital role in supporting the 24/7 operations of our residential facilities-covering shifts so full-time staff can take time off or attend training-while completing all the tasks that keep the house running, including medication administration, administrative duties, and most importantly, direct client support. Residential Counselors provide one-on-one care, crisis counseling, medication management, educational groups, and foster independence in a safe, therapeutic environment. Schedule. Our Residential Facilities are 24/7 and open every day of the year, and Residential Counselors work fully onsite/in person. PRN staff are typically required to work at least two shifts per month. Shifts are 10 hours in length, with options including the following.
Day: 7:00 am - 5:30 pm
Mid-day: 10:30 am - 8:30 pm
Overnight: 11:00 pm - 7:30 am
Swing Shift: 1:00 pm - 11:30 pm
Shift Differential Pay. The afternoon or swing shift differential is paid from 3 pm to 11 pm. The evening shift differential is paid from 11 pm to 7 am. The Weekend day shift is paid from 7 am to 3 for Saturday and Sunday only.

Qualifications
Requirements:

Essential Duties:

Monitors and documents client's vital signs, physical condition and behavior, as needed. Must be able to administer blood pressure assessments, utilizing blood pressure cuffs, when Nurse is not available.
Assists with the planning, conducting and supervision of patient activities, including community meetings, groups, external meetings on-site, family/friend visitation, recreational activities, and life skills.
Monitors Breath Alcohol (BA) tests as needed and document appropriately.

Facilitate or co-facilitate psychoeducation groups.
Assists team in the coordination of treatment referrals for clients motivated to seek on-going treatment following discharge.
Assign and monitor clients completing residential unit chores, including main areas, hallways, bedrooms and bathrooms.
Collaborate with kitchen staff regarding meals and snacks.
Practices OSHA safety standards and disposes of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards.
May assist in transporting admitted clients to hospitals, aftercare or other approved services as directed by the Shift Coordinator or Program Coordinator. Individual may be exposed adverse weather conditions during loading and unloading passengers.
