The Senior Child Life Specialist position is responsible for mentoring staff in the provision of comprehensive, purposeful, developmentally appropriate, and culturally sensitive, family-centered care. This care is focused on meeting the psychosocial and developmental needs of children and families. Provides evaluation and therapeutic services, direct patient care and patient/family education, in an efficient manner. Services may include therapeutic play, preparation, procedural support, special events, and reintegration programming. The Child Life Specialist utilizes these practices in an effort to facilitate adaptive coping techniques and promote growth and development of the patient and family. The pay range for this position is $24.50-$36.76/hourly. Compensation is determined based on years of experience and departmental equity.
Responsibilities
Performs individual assessments to collect comprehensive and accurate date necessary to assess development, temperament, coping style, medical plan, cultural preferences & practices and available social supports in order to develop an individualized treatment plan
Ensures that intervention is compliant with department policy and the professional standards of practice
Plans and implements an individualized treatment plan that identifies goals and evidence-based treatment intervention strategies, with an emphasis on psychosocial and emotional needs of the patients and their families
Utilizes electronic medical record applications to document relevant patient and family information
Ensures adapted equipment and recreation equipment is safe and functioning properly
Performs self-reflection of personal practice and professional work activities to direct individual; and staff goals for professional growth and development

Worker Core Training (WCT):

During the training, you will have opportunities to practice these skills through classroom activities, simulation exercises, and debriefs. Upon hire, you will be assigned to the nearest available training cohort. The training includes four (4) weeks at our Seattle training site (scheduled for Weeks 2, 4, 6, and 8). For those eligible for travel from their assigned duty location, DCYF covers hotel accommodations and per diem costs.
The WCT curriculum is designed to prepare Social Service Specialists for the responsibilities of the role, including:

What you'll do
The Residential Treatment Specialist (RTS) is responsible for providing physical care and in collaboration with other staff, shall be responsible for implementing programming designed to assist each resident with their individual treatment plan. This position supports the Behavioral Health Division of Pioneer Human Services by ensuring the provision of quality and cost effective chemical dependency services. Job Duties are but not limited to:
* Interprets and explains program and/or unit policy and procedure to each resident as needed.
* Perform and document daily shift activities as required by program policies, contract stipulations and professional standards.
* Supervise and monitor resident movement, activity and rule compliance.

The Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) position offers a unique opportunity to serve a vital role, in providing non-medical support, which includes counseling, consultation, and outreach, to eligible faculty, staff, parents, children, and youth. + A master's degree or higher in the Behavioral Health Professions (MS/MSW/MA/PhD).
+ Licensure to practice at the independent practice level (LCSW, MFT, LPCC, Psychologist) in any US State.
+ Must be a U.S. citizen and have an active passport that is good for 6 months after the end of the assignment.
+ Must be able to pass a basic background check for employment, a Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) clearance, commonly called a Public Trust clearance.
