Incumbent will provide support services to offenders in a correctional setting to include assessments and psycho-educational classes, provide behavioral observations and make specific treatment recommendations, crisis intervention with appropriate de-escalation techniques and principles, case management and behavioral/human services to offenders with mental illness. ROLE of the POSITION
Student Counseling & Psychological Services (CAPS) at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for a Psychological Assistant/Staff Psychologist/Senior Staff Psychologist position. CAPS is an IACS-Accredited center within the Student Wellness unit that includes the departments of Student Health Center, Care Center, Wellness Education and Health Promotion, Disability Resource Center, Military and Veteran Services, and the Office of Student Rights and Responsibilities. Staff Psychologist: This position requires a doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited college or university. Licensure for independent practice as a psychologist is required and Nevada licensure for independent practice is required prior to the start of employment.
Senior Staff Psychologist: This position requires a doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from a regionally accredited college or university.
