Patient Services Workers are responsible for a variety of specialized duties related to the receipt, interpretation, and follow-through of patient diet orders in hospital and long-term care settings. Job Responsibilities
* Delivers and collects patient trays during meal service. Delivers nourishments and/or snacks to patients as ordered by physician/dietitian in a timely manner. Visits patients to introduce the services of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.
* May obtain food preferences/dislikes from patients and/or family members.
* Communicate all patient food needs to the appropriate area of the Food and Nutrition Services Department.

* Maintains and adheres to all sanitation standards by following assigned cleaning schedules. Completes other sanitation tasks as assigned by the Supervisor/Relief Supervisor.
* Inventories and re-stocks pantries, refrigerator, and freezers on assigned unit(s).
* Maintains temperature logs for unit refrigerators and freezers.
* Understands therapeutic diets using established protocols and seeks assistance from Supervisor or Dietitian if an error is observed.
* Assists the clinical staff in ensuring all patients' basic nutrition care needs are met.

The Lead Residential Care Specialist (Lead RCS) provides a therapeutic environment for youth in the CARES Center program through direct supervision of Residential Care Specialists and youth on assigned shifts daily.

Provide transportation for clients, as needed, in an agency vehicle in a safe and responsible manner.
Respond appropriately to clients' acting out behavior utilizing safe physical intervention in accordance to MAB curriculum when necessary.
Debrief with youth after each emergency safety intervention (ESI).
Assure the safety of the facility and clients by reporting environment of care concerns/problems to supervisor.
Participate in scheduled training opportunities to meet and maintain the specific staff training requirements of licensing and accrediting agencies.
Participate in pre-shift "pass down" meetings before each shift to ensure proper transfer of information necessary for a safe and therapeutic shift.
Ability to navigate through electronic medical records, demonstrate ability to complete proper documentation and forms for Incidents, Precautions and all other required documentation.
When working overnight shifts, complete necessary paperwork on a rotating basis, including but not limited to shift reports, behavior sheets, and roster reports.
Display knowledge of and implementation of all policies and procedures for the program.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of residential, or related mental health treatment experience; or Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree without experience.
Experience working with children and adolescents and some college credit preferred.
Must be at least twenty-one years old and possess a valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by agency insurance provider.
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English, and to communicate in a therapeutic and professional manner.

**Job Summary**
The Mental Health Worker I functions as a member of the interdisciplinary team to assess the functional abilities, impairments, and needs of each patient and address these individually. Provides support to the nursing staff and patient care through the direction and guidance of licensed staff and leaders.
**Essential Functions**
+ Ensures supplies and equipment for patient care are readily available and organized in an efficient manner.
+ Correctly identifies and uses appropriately personal protective equipment.
+ Responds to patient and family requests promptly.
+ Accurately monitors and records patient information, test results and stats.
+ Provides care to assigned patients including the activities of daily living, non-medication pain management and other interventions.
+ Accurately follows patient care policies, practices and protocols i.e. sterile technique and skin care protocol.
+ Assists with personal hygiene and elimination needs.
+ Provides patient with clean linen and towels at the beginning of shift and changes both as needed.
+ Answers call system promptly and intervenes appropriately.
+ Cleans equipment as directed.
+ Ensures continuity of professional care and participates in program development and process improvement.
+ Follow proper procedures during verbal and physical de-escalation of patients. Able to individually individually perform crisis intervention and restrain violent patients. Responds to all Code White alerts.
+ Performs other duties as assigned.
+ Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
+ Complies with all policies and standards.
