Job Summary
The Palliative Care Counselor is a member of the interdisciplinary palliative care team that includes, physicians, nurse practitioners, chaplains, nurses and pharmacists. The team also includes multiple learners from different programs: medical students, residents and fellows, nurse practitioner students and chaplaincy residents. The LC is knowledgeable about medical social work, patient and family counseling, advance care planning, transitional care, bereavement support and end of life care. The goal of the LC is to assist patients and families to clarify goals and achieve the highest possible quality of life in the setting of advanced and end-stage illness. The position will also be responsible for developing education and training strategies for clinical staff caring for patients with advanced illness both in the hospital and in the community.
Qualifications
MSW degree from a C.S.W.E.-accredited college or university Social Work program.
At least 2 years' experience in a health care facility or program working with Critically ill patient population.
Florida Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) required.

SUMMARY:
The Youth Counselor delivers a range of academic, enrichment, recreational, and leadership development programming to participating youth through a Positive Youth Development context that fosters growth and learning, maximizes safety, and instills hope and motivation.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the wellbeing of a group of participating youth throughout program hours. Ensures the safety of all participants throughout program implementation.
- Provides academic support that aligns with the school day curriculum of participating youth through curricula focusing on literacy and STEM.
- Leads a range of enrichment, recreation, social emotional and leadership development programs designed to increase self-esteem and teach important life skills.

Beverly Continuum Support (BCS) provides individualized and comprehensive residential services to male and female youth age 12-18 and their families. Youth referred to the program are in need of temporary out-of-home placement to address a range of emotional and behavioral issues. The program offers 24 hour staffing that provides support and supervision.
Youth Counselors provide support and supervision which includes life skills support, social and interpersonal skill development and community engagement.
