This role focuses on supporting at-risk youth in Sarasota County and Manatee, particularly those in Title I schools. The Youth Screening Specialist is a client serving position with responsibility for screening and assessing youth brought in for processing by law enforcement. Provides screening of youth to determine detention status, assessment of mental health or substance abuse risk factors, and to make a recommendation for services and/or court handling. **This position is between the hours 4pm-12:30 am** We are looking for a Youth Screening Specialist who must have: High school diploma or GED. Two (2) years of experience working with youth required Must possess a valid Florida Driver's license and Auto Insurance. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Reviews law enforcement paperwork and criminal history records. Acts as a resource to families, outside agencies and staff; answers telephones. ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Family Support Specialist is responsible for making decisions and taking actions appropriate to ensure that every child has a permanent home that provides physical and emotional safety and that each region has the resources needed to provide support for families. Maintain clear communication and reporting on strike team activities and FSM training progress. Support organization-wide initiatives that improve family outcomes and volunteer satisfaction. The Youth Screening Specialist is a client serving position with responsibility for screening and assessing youth brought in for processing by law enforcement. Provides screening of youth to determine detention status, assessment of mental health or substance abuse risk factors, and to make a recommendation for services and/or court handling. **This position is between the hours of 6am-6pm We are looking for a Youth Screening Specialist who must have: High school diploma or GED. Two (2) years of experience working with youth required Must possess a valid Florida Driver's license and Auto Insurance.
