Job Overview:
This clinical provider will work in the Youth Recovery Services program focusing on comprehensive care involving recovery services for substance use, co-occurring and trauma services. The clinician provider will help facilitate a safe, therapeutic and supportive environment. The clinician provider will provide family, individual, and group therapy and possible education groups to the youth in the program.

What you'll get to do:
Provides individual, group, family and/or other practical counseling, utilizing his/her experience and ability to meet the needs of the client and the goals of treatment, and engages in any other activities that meet those needs and goals.Within limits of experience, educational background, and Burrell time commitments, presents in public forums educational material to promote community understanding of mental health and to enhance community response to mental health problems.Carries a regular caseload, the size and nature of which is to be established with supervisory staff.According to Burrell guidelines, participates in staffing of clients to identify problems and establish goals and objectives for treatment and assumes management responsibilities for cases assigned.Participates in emergency services in order to provide rapid aid in cases of emotional crisis.Provides and/or coordinates a comprehensive follow-up to all clients for whom he/she has been responsible.Participates in and contributes to the various staff development activities of Burrell.Is sensitive and responsible to management needs, such as data collection, program evaluation, development of grant applications, maintenance of various contracts for services, etc.

Requirements
Must have a Master's degree in a Human Services field. Must be a licensed LPC or LCSW in the state of Missouri.2 years of related experience

GENERAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under the general direction of the Manager of Education and Clinical Services, the Education and Clinical Services Librarian plays a central role in developing customized library services in support of the University of Massachusetts Medical School research, education, and clinical enterprise. The position collaborates with faculty, graduate students, academic units, and research center personnel to provide customized library services.

Responsibilities

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Library Education

* Provide curriculum support for students in all three schools, including programs such as personal librarian, house librarian, and capstone advisor/mentor
* Collaborate in teaching, learning, research and curriculum support within the campus community as a trusted partner to provide faculty, students, residents and staff with customized library services
* Create and manage quality learning experiences for student, faculty, residents and staff to assist in best-practice usage of information resources to support learning and patient care
* Design and implement specific projects or programs that cater to the information needs of a community, such as the creation of LibGuides or subject portals
* Provide virtual and in-person research assistance
* Build and manage short and long-term relationships with faculty, students, residents, and staff regarding library services and resources
* Participate in collection development activities to support user needs
* Serve as a content expert on long-term projects such as systematic reviews
* Understand the purpose and use of repositories including their submission process, intellectual property issues, and provide in-put on repository selection for deposit

Clinical Services

* Build partnerships with academic clinical departments and user communities, working with them as a conduit for their information needs, both user- and library- initiated. Services will include research, advanced literature searching, information organization services, reference, discovery of content and instruction of library research and resources tools
* Provide on-demand and on-site information services to the clinical system, such as participation in chart rounds, morning report, and at other clinical activities and sites
* Support information access at inpatient and outpatient sites across the clinical network
* Provide access to and training on Evidence-Based resources to support clinical decision making

Overall

* Serve as a leader and/or active member of library teams, task forces and committees
* Represents the library on university committees, task forces, and working groups
* Participate in and represent the Library in local, regional, and national professional activities
* Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

* Master of Science in Library Science from an ALA accredited institution
* 2 years combined library, teaching, information technology, informatics, and/or biomedical research experience
* Experience in a clinical health care environment / EBM /EMR/ Terminology
* Experience in curriculum development and instruction / delivery
* Demonstrated advanced skills in information management software
* Knowledge of discovery and access tools currently used in libraries

Community Mental Health Center, Inc. is a provider of comprehensive mental health services, offering inpatient, outpatient, home-based, school, and community-based programs to individuals and families in Dearborn, Franklin, Ohio, Ripley and Switzerland counties in Southeastern Indiana. CMHC offers a full continuum of care to individuals and families of all ages. CMHC follows the recovery model which emphasizes and supports each individual's potential for recovery. Recovery is seen as a personal journey that utilizes supportive relationships, empowerment, social inclusion, and coping skills.

Position Responsibilities: The Wraparound Facilitator is responsible for assessing the appropriateness of the referral to the program; to engage a youth and family in the wraparound process; to engage, develop, and prepare a team; to create a crisis plan and stabilize crises; to explore strengths, needs, culture, and vision with the family; to establish an integrated care plan that is determined by the child and family driven by underlying needs that have been prioritized by the team, and grounded in a strength's perspective; monitor progress toward those goals and objectives established; ensure the team effectiveness by collaborating with team members to stay on track with the assigned action steps and by inspiring them to work as a cohesive group toward the family vision; to create a transition plan including post-transition crisis management; and to celebrate successes.

Qualifications: Qualifications include: Bachelor Degree in social work, counseling or related field; a minimum of three years of experience, excellent organizational, and communication skills, commitment to wraparound principles (Family voice and choice, Strength-Based, Individualized, Outcome Based, Team Based, Culturally Competent, Community Based, Unconditional Care, Collaboration, and Natural Supports).

Day-to-Day Expectations:

+ Consultation and collaboration with community systems to facilitate linkage-referral, and advocacy ensuring caregivers and youth have access to the services and resources needed to reach goals and objectives supporting the family vision.

+ Teach youth and families the skills needed to facilitate their family team toward reaching their vision.

+ Assess strengths and underlying needs of families.

+ Teach youth and families how to identify underlying needs and mitigating strengths to facilitate the development of an individualized plan that supports the family vision.

+ Monitor progress toward meeting established goals, and adherence to action plans.

+ Assists in the development of natural supports and non-traditional community resources needed for youth and their families to reach their vision.

+ Assist families in accessing needed community resources and services.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 40 hours per week.
