For more information, please visit ********************* Program Overview: Youth Villages provides intensive in-home services for youth ages 12 to 17 through Multisystemic Therapy (MST), an evidence-based therapeutic model designed to support adjudicated youth-adolescents who are involved in or at risk of becoming involved in the juvenile justice system-and their families. MST focuses on the multiple systems that influence a young person's behavior, including their family, peer group, school, and community. Family Counselors work directly with the youth and caregivers in the home, school, and community settings and are available 24/7 to provide therapeutic and crisis support. The primary goal of MST is to equip caregivers with effective tools to manage challenging behaviors, reduce the risk of out-of-home placement, and promote lasting positive change. Specific objectives include improving school attendance and academic performance, decreasing substance use, enhancing prosocial connections, and strengthening family functioning. Youth Specialists assist in facilitating the day-to-day services offered in the Day Services Program and the Transitional Living Program. Support for Day Program and Transitional Living Program services can include assisting with youth skill-building activities, including healthy recreation and art activities, food preparation, and helping ensure a safe and respectful program space. Youth Specialists are also responsible for appropriately responding to crises. The long-term goal of the Day Program and Transitional Living Program is to help youth build the skills needed for self-sufficiency and to be successful in their plan to exit street life. This is an on-call position. Must be available for overnight (awake) shifts in the Transitional Living Program. Essential Duties * Build positive relationships with youth through role modeling and mentoring. * Help direct new or returning youth to navigate the screening and assessment process. * Educate youth about the Homeless Youth Continuum and how to access available services and resources. Engage youth in Outside In program offerings. * Be available on-site to residents in Transitional Living Program and/or Day Program during shifts. * Provide individualized support to youth. Respond to youth crises as needed. * Support the smooth function of the Food Program in the Day Program by participating in food preparation of meals as needed. * Assure material and operational support of the Day and Transitional Living Programs. The Integrated Behavioral Health Counselor works as part of an interdisciplinary team supporting patients inside of Outside In's downtown primary care clinic. Primary duties include providing brief, solutions focused psychotherapy, assessment, skill development and access to resources as needed. This position acts as a consultant to the primary care provider, providing diagnosis and care plan input and management. Integrated Behavioral Health Counselors work to increase access of behavioral health services. Outside In works to provide high quality care focused to people who have current and historical barriers to accessing healthcare including trans and queer people, houseless people, immigrants, people with disabilities and chronic illness and people who use drugs. This position is eligible for a $2,000 hiring bonus. The selected candidate will receive half of the bonus on their first paycheck and the remaining half on the paycheck following their six-month anniversary. Both payments must be made prior to June 30, 2026, as the bonus is funded by a grant. Work is performed at a Federally Qualified Health Center located at 1132 SW 13th Ave, Portland, OR 97233 , and potentially at other locations as needed. Clinical supervision is provided. Full-time Description Salary/Wage: $33.87/hr. Tribal Level 122 Classification: Full Time, Exempt, Limited Duration INTRODUCTION: The Mental Health Specialist provides mental health assessments and treatment to Siletz Tribal Youth at risk of delinquency, Tribal Youth involved in the juvenile justice system, and adults within areas served by the Portland and Salem area offices. Treatment services include individual, family, and group therapy. Treatment services to court-involved youth will be coordinated with juvenile justice agencies and may include participation in monthly case reviews and closed custody reviews. The Mental Health Specialist will work closely with other Tribal Program Staff in providing adventure-based counseling activities, such as use of the challenge course, whitewater rafting, wilderness treks and community-based wellness activities. The Mental Health Specialist will provide mental health assessments and treatment or referrals to outside agencies for adult and youth tribal members and their families in the Portland and Salem Area Offices Overall supervision for this position will be provided by the Behavioral Health Program Administrator, however, daily on-site supervision will be provided by the area supervisor at the location where she/he is assigned. DUTIES: Provides mental health assessments and treatment activities to clients and their families including individual, family, and group therapy. Provide assessments and brief services to adults in the Portland and Salem Area Offices. Treatment methods will include one-on-one counseling, group counseling, course presentation and use of adventure-based counseling practices. (Challenge course, whitewater rafting, and wilderness treks.) Work in conjunction with Behavioral Health Program, Indian Child Welfare, Education, and Cultural Program staff in case management and provision of services to Tribal youth and their families to ensure the development of comprehensive community mental health services. Work with Tribal Program Staff from Siletz and the three Tribal Area Offices in the organization and implementation of an annual Tribal Youth Conference. Work collaboratively with Tribal Alcohol and Drug, Culture, Education, Health Department, Law Enforcement, Indian Child Welfare, and TANF staff in organization and implementation of treatment and treatment activities. Work collaboratively with Juvenile Departments and the Oregon Youth Authority within the eleven county service areas. Develop and assist in gathering data necessary for service provision to include regular documentation and service reports required by various funding agencies. Counseling Practicum and Internship for Spring 2026 We are looking for master s level counseling students who are passionate about helping families and children and want to be surrounded by expert clinicians dedicated to their profession. Our counseling program, AZ Family Counseling, provides quality counseling intended to strengthen family life on behalf of children and to provide assistance to hurting people, guiding them towards spiritual, emotional and behavioral healing. We provide Christ centered counseling through the demonstration and application of Biblical truth and Christian values. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES Counseling services to assigned clients of CFC. Maintains files and records on each client counseled so that complete and accurate information is always available. Assists in database management as required. Alerts the Clinical Services Manager or designee of any serious concerns involving clients in the Counseling Program. This is particularly important where legal or safety issues may be involved. Discuss and establish fees with clients in accordance with CFCA s guideline for fee structure and obtain the supervisor s approval for any fee request beneath guideline. Discuss and collect insurance information from clients and provide information and necessary follow-up documentation and/or reports to ensure collection of insurance or other resource funding fees in a timely fashion. Attends Clinical Meetings and group supervision with the Director of Clinical Services or designee on a bi-monthly basis or as scheduled. Attends individual supervision with the Director of Clinical Services or designee as required. (Requirements are based upon level of experience, state licensure and professional requirements.) REQUIREMENTS Bachelor s degree in psychology or other related field and enrollment in an accredited Master s level Counseling program. (we currently DO NOT have MSW supervision available) At least one year of clinical experience together with experience with children and families is preferred. Knowledge of counseling ethical and legal issues as they apply to child and family counseling is required. Knowledge of counseling practice and theory, specifically in areas of human development, group and individual theory, and systems family therapy is required. This position must model strength of character, Christian values and a healthy relationship with God, themselves and others. This position must also have a good understanding of counseling dynamics and methods to effectively counsel clients. Ten (10) month commitment minimum We see clients Monday - Thursday from 830a - 6p INTERNSHIPS ARE UNPAID AND FOR CREDIT ONLY. YOU MUST BE IN A DEGREE SEEKING PROGRAM TO APPLY.
