Position requires ability to read and interpret Drawings, Specifications, Part Numbers, and their Descriptions including markings and workmanship requirements for acceptability.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Manual Dexterity using hands and maneuvering various hand tools.
* Reading drawing, commutation with co-workers and supervisor, dealing with multiple jobs at any given time.
* Ability to follow a process.
* Ability to follow instructions with accurately reading parts, quantities, revisions.
* Assemble Wire Harness, Cable Assemblies using shop tools such as wrenches, torque drivers, hand tools, Go - No-Go Gages.

* Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures and functional components including rigging, surface controls, plumbing, and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, equipment such as shears, sheet metal brake, welding equipment, rivet gun, and drills.
* Troubleshoot engines and systems and use Federal Supply systems.
* Replace or repair worn or damaged components, such as alternators, fuel controls, fuel pumps, oil pumps, engine mounted gearboxes, and compressor bleed valves using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
* Remove engines and gearboxes from aircraft, using hoist or forklift truck.
* Disassemble and inspect airframe and other components for wear, cracks, security, or other defects. Repair or replace defective parts then reassemble and install in aircraft.
* Perform preflight, thru-flight, and post-flight maintenance inspections.
* Perform miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens and filters, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
* Perform jacking and towing of aircraft.
* Enter in the maintenance records description of the work performed and verifies the work was performed satisfactorily.
* Service engines and airframe components at line station making repairs, short of overhaul, required to keep aircraft in safe operating condition.
* Research the technical library and other applicable technical documentation (such as
* manufacturers' and DHS/DOD maintenance manuals, service bulletins, engineering and technical data) to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
* Perform progressive, isochronal, phase, periodic, and other hourly or calendar inspections.
* Examine engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks.
* Listen to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burnt valves. Inspects jet engines and components for cracks, corrosion, FOD, burned areas, distortions, security, warping, wear, and missing segments.
* Inspect jet engine turbine blades to detect cracks, distortion, corrosion, burn-out, security, or breaks. Tests engine operation, using testing equipment, such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, ammeter, and jet calibration (Jetcal) tester, to locate source of malfunction.
* Perform full system checkouts and complete servicing on all aircraft systems.
* Provide technical direction to Aircraft Mechanic Helpers and Aircraft Workers.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Supply Chain, or a related field; Master's degree is highly preferred. (Equivalent experience may be considered.)
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in subcontract administration or subcontracts management, with significant experience in government contracting environments.
Leadership and Management Experience: Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams. Ability to foster a collaborative work environment and drive results.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certifications: Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM), or other relevant certifications preferred.

PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Composite Technician II works with new aircraft parts, using oven processes, fabricating of aircraft component molds, and vacuum techniques, and maintains and repairs composite aircraft components made of fiberglass and other carbon materials. Responsible for understanding Army technical manuals, drawings and blueprints, and have working knowledge of precision tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform lay-up techniques that include pre-pregs or wet lay-up, cutting, bagging, and/or trimming operations or machine operations.
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of work orders, blueprints, and lay-up charts to ensure the quality of the product.
Receive detailed written instructions from the supervisor, lead technician, or an engineer.
Layout, pre-fits, assembles and casts polyurethane and like material on a variety of molds and surfaces.
Load and operate presses, ovens, and autoclaves. Adheres to equipment requirements and the method and sequences of operation to be followed in fabrication of parts using materials such as polyurethane, fiberglass, epoxy resins, and like materials.
Select tooling and materials compatible with the processing techniques identified in the work instructions.
Employee will be required to handle regulated and hazardous wastes and materials.
Safely work in a team environment rigging, lifting, and transporting large parts and equipment.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
Ability to work with shop tools and equipment used in composite layup and assembly as well as demonstrate the ability to perform in a team environment and exhibit a willingness to “do what it takes” to ensure customer expectations are met or exceeded.
Perform casting of materials to fabricate parts and/or for repair applications using products and processes which are varied but generally not complex in scope.
Fabricate polyurethane and like materials into subassemblies for the purpose of pre-fitting in preparation for bonding
Perform complex composite lay-up, vacuum bagging, cutting, repair, autoclave and / or trimming.
Verify work to ensure a defect free part prior to presenting to quality control (inspection).
Read and interpret drawings and technical manuals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED, plus composite certification from accredited college with 3-5 years of experience in composite manufacturing repairs.
Precision Tool experience (i.e. Dial Calipers, Hot Bonder, Torque Wrenches, Vacuum Pump, etc.)
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must have or be capable of obtaining a US Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
Ability to work overtime when required.
