Commercial Grade Division Foreman
* Supervise and direct crew to assure completion of assigned project as instructed by the superintendent, assistant superintendent, and/or the project manager.
* Ensure that new personnel are adequately trained in company policies, safety requirements and job responsibilities.
* Conduct periodic evaluation of assigned personnel with special emphasis on their contribution to the company and our contribution to them.

This position will be responsible for a crew of up to 5-15 craft workers. The crew will be a mix of a journeyman, helpers, and laborers.

This position is accountable for providing marine project support to Orion. Incumbents are responsible for supervising daily on-going operations on the work barge and ensuring that all work performed is done in a safe and efficient manner. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
* Works as assigned by the Project Superintendent to ensure the successful completion of current carpentry and concrete work on marine construction projects.
* Determines the sequence of activities involved with planning form fabrication, assembly, and completion of concrete structures.
* Works with the Superintendent to review blueprints and determine dimensions of concrete and marine structures and forms that will be built and used.
* Assigns work crews to tasks such as cutting materials to size, building concrete forms, and setting and erecting forms.
* Supervises carpenters and carpenter crews engaged in concrete work and building marine structures such as trestles, cofferdams, and supports for concrete forms.
* Ensures compliance with all Company Health, Safety & Environmental Policies and Procedures.
* Trains new workers in use of equipment and tools and analyzes and resolves work problems.
* Maintains time records for employees in the work crew and supervises and coordinates activities of employees in the work crew.
* Utilizes positive and negative pressure respirators and/or SCBA respiratory equipment for self and crews as per customer job and/or contract requirements.

These include but are not limited to lockout/tagout, confined space, fall protection, respiratory protection, emergency action plan, CPR/First Aid procedures, and job and/or contract requirements.
* Works closely with the General Foreman, Crane Operators, Helpers, and other skilled crafts persons to complete current projects in a safe and efficient manner.

Incumbents must be well-versed in reading blueprints and diagrams. In addition, incumbents must have knowledge of the integration of carpenters and various crafts to successfully perform their work. Craft knowledge should include carpentry, concrete forms fabrication and use, construction of marine structures including concrete forms, cofferdams, trestles, etc. Incumbents should also be trained and certified in First Aid and CPR.
The incumbent must be an effective verbal communicator and be able to keep simple records of time and material used for each project.

Qualifications:

Familiar with the use of technology including but not limited to tablets and software platforms related to the construction industry.
In-depth knowledge of commercial drywall, metal studs, exterior framing, acoustical ceiling installation, and finishing methods.
Familiarity with union labor agreements, regulations, and safety standards in the construction industry.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
Ability to operate and maintain drywall-related tools and equipment.
Physical stamina and manual dexterity to perform tasks associated with drywall installation and finishing.

Qualifications:
