RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Site Quality Inspector, you will:
Be responsible for inspecting all site welds and ensuring compliance with governing guidelines.
Stop and report all unsafe conditions and acts.
Understand the governing construction codes.
Understand the inspection and test plan requirements applicable to the work scope.
Ensure welders are qualified for the welding being performed.
Inspect the welds, assigns numbers for the weld map, create weld logs.
Perform all aspects of Hydro-test and Turnover Package maintenance.
Utilize punch lists to identify incomplete items and present to supervision.
Compile all appropriate documents in the turnover package.
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum of 2 years professional experience with piping inspection
Turnover package creation
Experience with at least one of the following: Heat Maps, Weld Maps, Hydro Packages
Certified Welding Inspector with AWS or similar
Knowledge of ASME codes and applications
Has administered weld tests, as required
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a constantly changing environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Excel, WORD, Outlook, and technical aptitude to learn new systems

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
On-Site Quality Control Inspector - E&I Division for the project reporting administratively to the Project E&I QC Lead or Project Manager and functionally to the Division Quality Manager.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Works cooperatively with client representatives, Saulsbury Project Manager, Saulsbury Construction Management and subcontractors in a teamwork environment with transparent sharing of information to the benefit of the project and to Saulsbury Industries.
Review project documents and drawings to ensure quality procedure and work practice compliance.
Ensure all of the on-site staff are properly certified for the work they are assigned.
Reports completion status and quality inspections performed to the Project E&I QC Lead or Project Manager weekly.
Implement the approved Quality Inspection and Test Plan.
Organize client witnessing of required hold points and approval of hold point documentation.
Oversee 3rd Party inspections and testing performance, and review of the produced documents for compliance with the project's quality requirements.
Provide the required quality oversight of the work being performed.
Maintain and review project quality documentation and data accumulated throughout the progression of the project and compile project document turnover books.
Perform system completion walk-downs and reporting of deficiencies discovered.
Maintain punch list of discrepancies discovered and report open items weekly.
Report all discrepancies or concerns immediately upon discovery to the Project Manager and to the Division Quality Manager.
Provide Quality-related guidance to the groups assigned to field projects.
Conduct in-process monitoring of E&I discipline work tasks for compliance with quality standards.
Ensure subcontracted 3rd Party personnel perform tasks safely and in accordance with all Safety, Environmental and Health related requirements applicable to the project.
Experience in oilfield related plant/facility construction.
Experience in Quality Control representing Construction contractors.
Familiar with and/or knowledge of applicable regulatory statutes and codes.
Experience in managing project quality records and data.
Experience in E&I inspection activities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Minimum 5 yrs. experience as an E&I project quality inspector.
Valid Driver's License
Able to clear drug and background requirements
Experience in E&I disciplines and working with multi-disciplined teams of onsite personnel.
Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel and Word (additional spreadsheet and database experience is preferred).
Proven communication skills to foster an environment of teamwork with common goals.
