RESPONSIBILITIES As a Site Quality Inspector, you will: Be responsible for inspecting all site welds and ensuring compliance with governing guidelines. Stop and report all unsafe conditions and acts. Understand the governing construction codes. Understand the inspection and test plan requirements applicable to the work scope. Ensure welders are qualified for the welding being performed. Inspect the welds, assigns numbers for the weld map, create weld logs. Perform all aspects of Hydro-test and Turnover Package maintenance. Utilize punch lists to identify incomplete items and present to supervision. Compile all appropriate documents in the turnover package. Type: Full Time - On Site GENERAL DESCRIPTION: On-Site Quality Control Inspector - E&I Division for the project reporting administratively to the Project E&I QC Lead or Project Manager and functionally to the Division Quality Manager. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Works cooperatively with client representatives, Saulsbury Project Manager, Saulsbury Construction Management and subcontractors in a teamwork environment with transparent sharing of information to the benefit of the project and to Saulsbury Industries. Oversee 3rd Party inspections and testing performance, and review of the produced documents for compliance with the project's quality requirements. Provide the required quality oversight of the work being performed. Perform system completion walk-downs and reporting of deficiencies discovered. Maintain punch list of discrepancies discovered and report open items weekly. Report all discrepancies or concerns immediately upon discovery to the Project Manager and to the Division Quality Manager. Provide Quality-related guidance to the groups assigned to field projects. Conduct in-process monitoring of E&I discipline work tasks for compliance with quality standards. Ensure subcontracted 3rd Party personnel perform tasks safely and in accordance with all Safety, Environmental and Health related requirements applicable to the project. Experience in oilfield related plant/facility construction. Experience in Quality Control representing Construction contractors. Familiar with and/or knowledge of applicable regulatory statutes and codes. Experience in managing project quality records and data. Experience in E&I inspection activities. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 yrs. experience as an E&I project quality inspector. Valid Driver's License Able to clear drug and background requirements Experience in E&I disciplines and working with multi-disciplined teams of onsite personnel. Proficiency with MS Office applications including Excel and Word (additional spreadsheet and database experience is preferred). Proven communication skills to foster an environment of teamwork with common goals. Assists management in establishing project requirements for selecting the proper procedures and techniques for project quality control in civil/structural segment of the project. Assists in training and testing craft personnel on proper techniques and procedures. Perform rebar, form, concrete, earthwork structural steel inspections throughout the site to ensure the quality of the work conform to the project specifications and governing codes. Must have 5+ years' experiences as a Civil Journeyman/Structural Journeyman. Must have extensive knowledge of concrete, rebar, and underground activities, foundation, structural and construction materials, and processes used for each activity. QC Inspector I&E will assist management in establishing project requirements for selecting the proper procedures and techniques for project quality control in the I&E segment of the project. Performs pre-installation inspections as required including materials, wire size, routing, tubing size, fittings, raceway, supports, and ties storage to ensure the compliance to the project specifications, governing codes, and/or manufactures recommendations. Documents inspection activities on the correct forms, checklist, or media approved the by the projects ITP or SOP. Graycor is seeking a capable and motivated Quality Inspector (CWI) to support our projects in the Midwest region. Graycor is a group of companies with approximately 1,500 people working in offices and on projects throughout North America. In this position, you will be required to: Support the implementation of the project quality program as appropriate. Conduct welder performance qualification testing and document tests. Establish and maintain quality and related documentation in support of the implemented program. Perform inspection to assure the quality of the work is in conformance with the project quality program and specifications. Locally coordinate quality activities with the Owner and Authorized Inspection agency. Monitor subcontractor quality on multi-employer projects. The Quality Completions Inspector is the person who conducts the systems completion walk downs and supports Completions on punch list items, walk downs, and engineering changes. This is a skilled position with detailed knowledge of their specific craft and job specifications. This person will be working with QC, document controls, and the craft to make sure items in the field are installed per drawing and specification.
