ZelTech is seeking a resourceful and innovative expert with applications in Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) Piloting, programming, and avionics. The candidate for this position will provide on-site system level development, troubleshooting evaluation, and test support to REPD at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station (CCSFS), Florida. Candidates for this position must be willing and able to travel for up to 30% of the time stateside or OCONUS.
Responsibilities:
Must be adaptable, innovative, creative, and ready to support mission critical projects.
Must aide in the development and implementation of:
UAV Assembly (component construction, power, and avionics).
UAV component analysis, troubleshooting, and reverse engineering.
UAV payload integration (cameras, servos, unique payloads).
UAV Autopilot (Pixracer/Pixhawk/etc.) installation & programming (Ardupilot, etc.).
Embedded systems/components integration (motors, electronic speed controllers, servos, cameras, etc.)
Circuit board/microcontroller development and fabrication (including soldering).
Plan and organize work to ensure timely completion of multiple independent tasks and work effectively in team environments to solve problems
Assemble Unmanned Aircraft from components.
Program, tune, and pilot autopilots and UAS systems.
Integrate multiple electronic components and COTs/GOTs systems into UAS and fabricate & program functional circuits/controllers to operate the system of components.
Plan, lead, and conduct hardware development, modification, and related functions to adapt vendor-manufactured hardware to meet Government needs and contingencies.
Requirements:
Must be a US citizen.
Must be able to obtain a secret security clearance.
3-5 yrs experience with UAV platforms configuration, upgrade and maintenance.
Must be highly skilled at manually piloting fixed wing and quad copters UAS.
The ability to work well with others in a collaborative environment.
Evaluate or test computer applications or programs to ensure compliance with technical, professional or organizational standards/requirements.
Analyze problems to determine technical solutions.
Comply with CCAFS industrial hygiene requirements.
Capable of using tools such as soldering iron, oscilloscopes, voltmeter, and other electronic analysis tools or software.
Performs other duties as assigned to accomplish the REPD mission
Successful background and drug screening check.
Preferred Requirements:
Associates degree.
Valid tourist passport.
Licensed UAV pilot credential.
Working knowledge of embedded micro-controller systems such as Arduino or Raspberry Pi.
Working knowledge of common programming languages, including C/C++, Python, Java, etc.

The Opportunity:
