What Is the Opportunity?
National Accounts provides casualty solutions for clients with significant risk with coverages such as Workers' Compensation, General and Product Liability, as well as Commercial Automobile Liability. The Account Executive Officer (AEO), National Accounts will partner with agents, brokers, and customers to provide guaranteed cost and loss sensitive coverage for new and renewal business based on customers' needs. This role is seen as a technical resource. As an AEO, you are decisive, detail-oriented, and know how to build relationships internally and externally to drive results. Your ability to independently assess complex risk and sell our products in challenging markets will contribute to the profitability and success of Travelers.
What Will You Do?
* Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
* Underwrite and skillfully negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.

Under general supervision, this position is responsible for investigating, evaluating, reserving, negotiating and resolving assigned Specialty Liability Bodily Injury and Property Damage claims. National Accounts provides casualty solutions for clients with significant risk with coverages such as Workers' Compensation, General and Product Liability, as well as Commercial Automobile Liability. The Account Executive Officer (AEO), National Accounts will partner with agents, brokers, and customers to provide guaranteed cost and loss sensitive coverage for new and renewal business based on customers' needs. This role is seen as a technical resource. As an AEO, you are decisive, detail-oriented, and know how to build relationships internally and externally to drive results. Your ability to independently assess complex risk and sell our products in challenging markets will contribute to the profitability and success of Travelers.
What Will You Do?
* Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
* Underwrite and skillfully negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
* Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners within the business unit and across the enterprise to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.

* Six to eight years of relevant underwriting experience with experience in National Accounts.

The Middle Market Underwriting Account Representative (UAR) is responsible for supporting the underwriting process for New and Renewal Customers for multiple lines of insurance coverages, including property, casualty, workers compensation, excess lines and automobile coverages.
