Position Summary: This is a 1st shift position. The Inspector is responsible for the day-to-day completion of work assignments in compliance with Lovejoy's quality management system. * Perform special projects and assignments in support of the department or facility as defined by the Quality Manager.
* Train production employees on proper use of gaging equipment and blueprint reading including GD&T.

* Support failure analysis investigations to determine root cause of product/component failures
* Ensure inspection equipment is suitable to meet the design intent and calibration is controlled.
* Control record retention and organization of quality documents.
* Complete first article (FAI) and final inspection and testing per military/government specification including completion/assembly of material certification, test reports, certificates of conformance and source inspection required documents.
Technical/Functional Skills:
* Experience in use of gages (metrology)
* Experience in blueprint reading
* Experience in GD&T
* Experience in Gage calibration
* Experience with vision inspection system and programs (e.g.: Keyence)
* Proficiency with software packages (MS Office, and Statistical software)
