Job Summary Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment. Essential Functions * Responsible for mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment. * Assists operators and maintenance employees in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment. * Assists in dismantling, assembling, and installing industrial machinery. * Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules. * Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product. * Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as pneumatic tools, motors, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools, and precision measuring instruments. * Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment. * Dismantles devices to remove defective parts. * Performs preventative maintenance on equipment. * Analyzes equipment failures, determines the cause and make necessary adjustments. * Installs power, lighting and control circuits and conduit. * Repairs maintain, replaces, installs and tests electrical components of machines such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices. * Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires motors. Diagnoses and replaces faulty mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic. * Tests malfunctioning machinery and discuss malfunction with other maintenance workers, to diagnose malfunction. * Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables using electrical hand tools and voltage or ampere measuring devices. * Diagnoses and repairs or replaces faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. * Test electrical components. * Programs and repairs robots and related equipment, such as programmable controllers, robot controllers, end of arm tools and conveyors. Reviews work orders and schematic diagrams to determine tasks to be performed. Attaches wires to the robot controller. Connects cables between robot and robot controller. Programs robots to perform specific tasks. Tests of electrical components.
