Understands the proper administrative line of command and refers all requests or grievances through proper channels. Is aware of all public/staff/departmental meetings that require attendance.
Established the fundamental philosophy, skills and techniques to be taught by staff. Designs conferences, clinics and staff meetings to insure staff awareness of the overall program.
Trains and informs staff, encourages professional growth by encouraging clinic attendance according to local clinic policy.
Delegates specific duties, supervises implementation and, at season's end, analyzes staff effectiveness and evaluates all assistants.
Maintains discipline, adjusts grievances and works to increase morale and cooperation.
Performs such other duties which may be assigned by the Athletic Director, Assistant Athletic Director or Principal.
Assists the athletic director in scheduling, providing transportation and requirements for tournament and special sport events.

Arranges for issuing, storing and reconditioning of equipment and submits annual inventory and current records concerning the same.
Properly marks and identifies all equipment before issuing or storing.
Monitors equipment rooms and coaches' offices, authorizes who may enter, issue or requisition equipment.
Permits the athletes to only be in authorized areas of the building at the appropriate times.
Examines locker rooms before and after practices and games, checking on general cleanliness of the facility. Responsible for cleanliness and maintenance of specific sport equipment.
Secures all doors, lights, windows and locks before leaving the building if custodians are not on duty.
Instills in each player a respect for equipment and school property, its care and proper use.
Organizes parents, coaches, players and guests for preseason meetings.
Promotes the sport within the school through recruiting athletes who are not in another sports program and promotes the sport outside the school through news media, little league programs, or in any other feasible manner.
Responsible for the quality, effectiveness and validity of any oral or written release to local media.
Responsible for maintaining good public relations with news media, booster club, parents, officials, volunteers and fans.
Presents information to news media concerning schedules, tournaments and results.

The best guest teachers demonstrate the desire to work well with children ages 3-18, relate well to all students, inspire a love of learning and have a good sense of humor. In addition, they must be flexible, dedicated, patient, kind, fair and consistent.
Guest teachers can manage the days of the week they are available to work through an automated system called Aesop. This user-friendly system is accessible online or through a touch-tone phone which allows ZCS teachers to enter absences and guest teachers to select available jobs.

* This will include the day before/after fall break, the day before/after Thanksgiving break, the day before Winter break and the day before/after Spring Break.
**At the completion of every 20 full days worked as a guest teacher an incentive of $41.50 will be paid out at the end of the semester. This incentive will begin new every semester.
Note: If you do not have a current Indiana teacher's license or substitute teacher's permit, it will be required within 15 days of your hire date. You can apply online for a permit with the Indiana Department of Education at *************************** The cost for the license is $15.00 and is valid for three years. Upon receipt, please send a copy to the Sub Coordinator so that we can add it to your personnel file.

Essential Functions:
Plan, prepare and appropriately serve menu items in a timely manner.
Evaluate and document products served using the following criteria: taste, temperature, and appearance to ensure high quality is achieved consistently.
Assist with café record keeping as directed per HACCP (i.e. temperature logs, etc.).
Participate in promotion of new food items within the cafeteria.
Assist with putting away and organizing stock.
Set-up and work duties within dish room on a regular basis.
Perform special cleaning assignments as directed by Food Service Manager.
Operate POS system during service times in accordance with established departmental standards.
Accept account deposits, document daily overages and shortages and maintain change fund.
Utilize account history to explain and discuss transactions with students and staff as needed.
Prepare and deliver bank deposits if needed
Maintain a calm, safe, secure environment within the cafeteria by engaging positively with all students.
Coordinate and assist with monitoring student behavior during lunch shifts within the café.
Document and provide feedback to school staff regarding student behavior.
Serve as point person in cafeteria to lead any safety or evacuation drills with students and staff.
Utilize behavior management methods to dismiss and manage students during lunch periods as needed.
Launder and fold towels, aprons, etc. used in food service operation.
Support and assist with food rescue participation.
Assume some manager duties within cafeteria during manager's absence, as needed.
Provide flexible staff coverage by rotating to various work stations, as needed.
General Functions:
Perform a variety of work involving some autonomy, accuracy and speed.
Provide excellent customer service to all patrons of the cafeteria, in part by communicating and exchanging information with them.
Maintain a professional and positive demeanor at all times, while demonstrating flexibility.
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions with minimal supervision.
Clean work surface areas before, during and at the end of scheduled work shift, including but not limited to counters, tables, floors, trash receptacles, etc.
Monitor equipment and supplies used and report problems/shortages to manager.
Perform work duties in accordance with Board of Health and USDA regulations.
Serve on school safety and other committees, if requested.
Participate in ongoing training as related to job duties.
Sustain professionalism and confidentiality as indicated in the ZCS Confidentiality Statement.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Services Manager or Director.
