    As a Customer Success Manager, you will be responsible for fostering and managing strong, strategic, long-term relationships with customers (especially at decision-maker and executive levels), navigating complex customer environments, aligning around definitions of “success” for both the customer and Waystar, and partnering with cross-functional teams (product, implementation, clinical, support) to ensure the customer derives value from our solution and remains retained and engaged. WHAT YOU'LL DO Onboard new customers: define rollout plans, drive milestone adoption, monitor progress. Build executive relationships and account strategy to drive retention and expansion. Identify churn risks early; proactively develop mitigation plans. Surface upsell/cross-sell opportunities by understanding customer value drivers. Collaborate internally (product, engineering, clinical, support) to influence the roadmap based on customer feedback. Track, monitor and report on success metrics: usage, adoption, renewal rates, customer satisfaction. Serve as a point of escalation for customer issues; ensure customer outcomes are achieved. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience). Several years of experience in customer success, account management, or client services in a SaaS and preferably healthcare-tech environment. Familiarity with healthcare revenue cycle, clinical documentation improvement (CDI), utilization management, or related domain is a plus. Strong communication and relationship-building skills: able to engage both operational and executive stakeholders. Metrics-driven mindset: define success and monitor key outcomes. Comfortable navigating ambiguity in a fast-growing organization, and influencing cross-functional teams. Experience with CRM/CS tools (e.g., Salesforce, Gainsight) preferred.     The Director of Trade Shows + Events will be responsible for the strategic planning and execution of all trade shows, user groups, and external events. WHAT YOU'LL DO Analyzing various market trends, user behavior, product inputs, customer requirements, designing solution architectures and developing the business case for new product development Preparing software design plans including product requirements documents (PRD), use case documentation, jobs-to-be-done, and user interface wireframes (both independently and with assistance from our User Experience team) Working closely with internal and external resources to define system requirements that meet changing market needs and ensure customer satisfaction and product quality Assisting the VP of Product Management in coordinating with sales, marketing, development, and customer support to bring together divergent ideas and convince various stakeholders to rally behind a single product vision Working with the VP of Product Management to manage the product roadmap, including documenting product strategy, maintaining the feature backlog, prioritizing work and coordinating product launches Organizing market research including analyzing customer segments, reviewing industry research reports, and assessing strengths and weaknesses of competitors Studying healthcare industry standards and staying up to date on industry changes and compliance issues Gathering inspiration and ideas by visiting customers regularly and reviewing software and other products that solve similar problems in other domains Collecting direct customer feedback by organizing user tests, studying customer support incidents, administering user surveys, and visiting customers to study product interaction in their natural environment WHAT YOU'LL NEED You know how to execute and like to roll up your sleeves to get things done You are comfortable in front of a whiteboard and can describe complex information in a concise but thorough fashion You can lead a cross functional team through the entire PDLC, rallying them to deliver value to clients, partners, and Waystar You have at least 4 years of software build experience and have led the end to end build of at least 2 large scale product initiatives (new products/major upgrades) and brought them to market An understanding of hospital & professional coding and billing workflows and the provider reimbursement process, obtained either through direct experience in a healthcare setting or an RCM focused HIT company Provided leadership on a team that designed, built, or used Revenue Cycle Management products Organizing market research including analyzing customer segments and industry trends Possess robust technical fundamentals, especially when it comes to building software Problem solving skills; able to analyze a problem and design creative solutions Attention to detail; extraordinary eye for usability and the customer experience Excellent written communication skills; able to succinctly convey complex ideas through the written word Great people skills; able to facilitate, negotiate and persuade stakeholders; ability to communicate progress, challenges and celebrate accomplishments Flexible and agile; able to rapidly adapt to changing situations and inputs College Degree required; Business or Computer Science degree preferred ABOUT WAYSTAR Through a smart platform and better experience, Waystar helps providers simplify healthcare payments and yield powerful results throughout the complete revenue cycle.
