SUMMARY OF ROLE
Performs duties associated with the upkeep, maintenance, care, beautification and cleaning of ZNE's grounds, roadways and buildings. These tasks require the ability to follow cleaning protocols, wear required Personal Protection Equipment and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions. The ability to work outside in changing weather conditions is a requirement. In addition, the ability to communicate professionally to Zoo guests and employees is also a requirement of this position. The Park Service Associate position is subject to a change in work schedule with reasonable notice based on operational and seasonal needs of the department. Must pass ZNE's online driver's test offered by ZNE's liability insurance carrier.
Duties & Responsibilities
Clean and restock restroom facilities throughout the Zoo.
Perform routine tours throughout the Zoo for trash collection purposes.
Set-up and knock down function venues for Zoo events.
The ability to shovel snow, sand walkway areas due to snow and ice accumulations.
The ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance duties as needed.

The Manager, Data Services, is a member of the New England Aquarium's (NEAq) IT Department and will oversee the transition of the team's fundraising database (Raiser's Edge NXT) as it is implemented across the organization to become the organization's CRM. The position will be responsible for administering the application, ensuring data integrity, integration with other systems and delivering reporting and analysis. Additionally, they will oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures related to NXT, supporting the organization's fundraising, constituent engagement, and communications goals. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Database Management
Serve as primary system administrator and product owner of Raiser's Edge NXT (Customer Relationship Management Application)
Oversee the integration of Raiser's Edge NXT with key organizational applications-including ACME, Luminate Online, and Dexibit-through API management and synchronization processes (ImportOmatic), ensuring NXT functions as the organization's primary Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
Collaborate with all NEAq teams to ensure data is being captured in the new platform to drive strategy and ensure donor, prospect, and membership activity is accurate, up to date and consistent between RE NXT, ACME, and additional systems.
Responsible for system administration of NXT, including management of accounts, security permissions, pricing, donor prospecting, system documentation, training, troubleshooting, and reporting APIs upgrades
Establish and oversee data governance policies and procedures to ensure the accurate collection, entry, and maintenance of data. Governance practices should comply with all applicable laws and regulations and align with best practices in the non-profit industry.
Maintain relationships with Blackbaud and other vendors to support the product, implement enhancements, and manage feature upgrade projects.
Work with internal departments and individuals to troubleshoot issues.
Analyze data, generate necessary reports and dashboards for stakeholders. Use data to drive strategy, aligning outcomes with Development, constituent, and organizational objectives.
Create and maintain documentation, knowledge bases, and training materials.
Create documentation including training materials for stakeholders; Train new staff that use the system. Assess current and future training needs by engaging with end users and compiling feedback to improve the configuration of RE NXT, Luminate Online and related platforms.
Promote a data-driven culture across the organization by encouraging the strategic use of data in decision-making and operations. Coordinate with external vendors (e.g., Blackbaud, DNL OmniMedia, ACME, Omatic) to troubleshoot issues, perform NXT and Luminate Online maintenance/upgrades, and implement strategic enhancements to identify strategic opportunities and optimize system capabilities.
Queries, Reports, and Analysis
Work closely with the AVP, IT, the Director, Development Operations and the IT Systems Analyst to design, test, deploy, run and analyze reports and create dashboards.
Manage queries and list pulls for direct mail, online fundraising, events and communications.
Prepare visual presentations of data for leadership and other organizational stakeholders and ensure that data being reported is accurate and up to date.
Conduct research and prepare for presentation using dashboards and visually dynamic reporting tools.
Provide data for development of KPI's and metrics for the Development team.
Coordinate with the Donor Engagement Team to capture data efficiently and provide analysis and reporting.
Partner with Marketing and Communications to align data strategies within NXT and Luminate Online with email marketing and engagement objectives.
Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot data imports and exports between ACME and Raiser's Edge NXT using ImportOmatic, ensuring data integrity and seamless integration.
Partner with the Financial Planning and Analysis team to interpret data trends and contribute to data-informed forecasting and budgeting efforts.
Gift Processing
Work closely with the Development Operations on donation processing, data collection, membership processing, and acknowledgements workflows in order to advise on best practices to create effective data sharing and centralization on NXT.
Provide reporting and/or analysis as requested by the Finance division on reconciliations and transaction processing.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Training and Experience
A Bachelor's Degree required, preferably with a focus in Information Technology or a related field.
Five years of experience, including a minimum of three years' experience managing Raiser's Edge for an organization, Demonstrated proficiency using data querying tools with large data sets required; candidates should be able to use data analysis to troubleshoot issues as well as identify trends and provide actionable business intelligence.
Experience troubleshooting applications and providing end-user support.
Project Management Experience.
Experience managing vendor relationships.
Experience creating and documenting standard operating procedures and providing training to staff preferred.
Experience with Omatic's tools available with Raiser's Edge preferred.
Familiarity with payment processors such as Blackbaud Merchant Services preferred.

They will lead the migration of the SED to NEAq, then oversee all database operations, including facilitating data submission, quality control, storage, and data access. This is a full-time (35 hours per week) grant-funded position with one year of funding and the possibility for extension. The position offers a comprehensive benefits package. Participates in, and supervises under the direction of the Curator of Horticulture, all aspects of landscape construction and exhibit construction as pertains to the landscape.
Plants trees, shrubs, plants, flowers, bulbs, seed and sod as directed.
Prepares planting areas, installs walls, fences, pathways, irrigation systems, and water features as directed.
Waters trees, shrubs, plants, and flowers, utilizing irrigation systems, sprinklers, hoses or by hand.
Performs all aspects of plant maintenance including; weeding, dead-heading, pruning, fertilizing, transplanting, dividing, propagation, mulching and winterizing.
Performs all aspects of grounds maintenance including; raking, sweeping, blowing, snow removal, sanding and salting, mowing, edging and grading.
Leads landscaping crew on daily tasks and assignments.
Monitors zoo grounds to make sure they are safe, clean, attractive, and comfortable for zoo guests and staff.
Purchases parts and materials as directed.
Interacts with and answers questions of zoo guests by providing information about the zoo and acts as a good will ambassador for the zoo.
Operates two-way radio responsibly and professionally.
Attends training and education programs and seminars.
Responsible for administering training programs for staff related to equipment operation and safety.
Works outside in all weather.
Collaborates with Curator of Horticulture to prioritize tasks in the work order management system.

Minimum Job Requirements
Must have a valid driver's license and a Mass. 2A-1C Hoisting License, or ability to obtain within six months.
Three to five years professional experience in landscaping or horticulture.

Additionally, in a unique relationship with the Harvard Medical School, fourth year medical students work with Zoo New England veterinarians during one-month formal rotations as part of a One Health clinical elective. The incoming veterinarian will have a significant role in helping to design and implement these programs.
Zoo New England is at an exciting time of growth, with several capital improvements recently completed, a new African penguin exhibit opening in early 2026, and a new hospital and conservation research center that is currently being designed. This position will work collaboratively with two full-time associate veterinarians to manage the clinical case load and preventative health program, and with the commissary supervisor to manage the animal nutrition program. Essential Job Functions
The Conservation Outreach Biologist advances the Field Conservation Department's mission through direct conservation work (field surveys, habitat restoration,etc) and through outreach that inspires landowners, stakeholders, and the public to take conservation action. The biologist will also coordinate with regional partners to ensure conservation efforts are strategically aligned across the region. This role requiresmaintainingdetailed project records, preparing reports for partners and funders, and working flexible hours including occasional evenings and weekends to accommodate field work and outreach events.
Duties & Responsibilities
In collaboration with FCD staff, The Orianne Society and other project partners, develop landowner outreach materials and create land management plans that align with the Working Lands for Wildlife Northeast Turtles program.
Conduct outreach through public programs, mailings, phone calls, and in-person site visits.
Communicate with partners and landowners to ensure project deliverables
Assistin the planning and implementation of wildlife conservation management projects
Conduct standardized biological surveys of plants and animals, particularly freshwater turtles.
Assistin the analysis of data and in the preparation of annual reports.
Working Conditions
Exposure and close contact with a variety of animals including mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians,fishand insects, including direct handling of large snapping turtles and other potentially injurious wildlifesuch as ticks, mosquitos, and other biting arthropods
Frequent field work in difficult natural conditionsand uneven terrain with exposure to varying and challenging weather conditions (e.g.heat, rain, snow, ice), and to dust and allergens
This position is based in our Acton, Massachusetts field office and requires frequent travel to field sites across eastern Massachusetts and southern Maine. Travel is primarily day trips, with occasional overnight stays. Mileage and lodging reimbursementisprovided.
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, wildlife management, natural resources, environmental science, or a related field
Valid driver's license and ability to travel regularly within the region for site visits and fieldwork
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage diverse audiences
Physical ability to conduct field surveys in various weather conditions and terrain
Proficiencywith standard computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel

The Associate Director of Development (ADOD) joins New England Aquarium's (NEAq) Development Team. Currently, the team raises over $14 million annually to drive NEAq's mission with ambitious plans for growth over the next several years. Reporting to the Director of Development, this position will work with NEAq leadership, conservation team members, development staff, and key volunteers to increase philanthropic support from individual donor households, as well as private family foundations.
This position will be responsible for developing, engaging, soliciting, and stewarding a portfolio of approximately 100-125 major gift prospects at the five and six-figure levels to support NEAq's work. The ADOD will work closely with the Donor Engagement team to identify new major donor prospects. This position will implement and coordinate effective multi-year engagement strategies and plans for prospects in their portfolio with the goal of developing long-term relationships.
As a complex organization, becoming conversant in NEAq programs and funding opportunities will be critical to success in conversations with donors. Developing productive relationships with NEAq's conservation teammates, scientists, and volunteers is a foundational part of this exciting and dynamic work. The ADOD is responsible for working collaboratively with all parties to optimize gift support and will participate in NEAq activities aimed at growing our community of major gift donors to support the Aquarium's conservation priorities.
This is a full-time regular position offering a comprehensive benefits package. The typical schedule will be Monday-Friday 9:00am - 4:30pm with the option for a hybrid schedule, working some days on-site and some days remotely. This position requires work on occasional evenings and weekends for events, as well as travel approximately 25% of the time to meet prospective donors in the New England region. Remote days are only available for residents of MA, RI, NH, ME, NY and VT.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Serve as a key member of the New England Aquarium (NEAq) Development frontline fundraising team.
Actively identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual donors and private family foundations at the five- and six-figure levels.
Conduct a high volume of identification and qualification work from a large pool of active annual giving donors and active members.
Work to strengthen the donor pipeline by creating major gift strategies for prospects in your portfolio, ensuring the successful implementation of fundraising activities and initiatives across the frontline fundraising team. This may include: arranging donor visits independently and/or in conjunction with conservation teammates, senior leaders, and board members; reinforcing team goals around unrestricted and restricted gift approaches; serving as the liaison between other teams and departments around shared donors and relationships, etc.
Analyze and evaluate prospect and donor data to generate targeted lists and recommend strategic next steps.
Identify opportunities for gifts of assets or other non-cash gifts, such as planned gifts and gifts of stock.
Support the Development Team's fundraising priorities by communicating and coordinating effectively with Development team members.
Utilize the donor database (Raiser's Edge NXT), including filing timely and accurate online contact reports.
Assist in staffing volunteer and board committees that may focus on donor relations and stewardship activity.
Persuasively convey the mission of NEAq to diverse groups who are important to the organization's overall prosperity.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Training and Experience.
Minimum 7+ years of relevant professional experience in a mission-driven organization required. Experience working with conservation organizations preferred.
Experience working with individual donors and private family foundations at the five- and six-figure gift level preferred.
Demonstrated success in developing positive, constructive relationships with a variety of people. Facility in working with donors in person, over the phone/Zoom, and via email and mail.
Experience developing independent and collaborative strategies and plans to identify and cultivate prospects and steward donors required.
Experience in donor cultivation and recognition, including prospect management of volunteer board members.
Proven experience building productive, collaborative, and professional relationships with colleagues, clients, donors, prospects, partners, board members, senior staff, and other organizational contacts.
Experience managing and tracking multiple prospects and donors, while proficiently utilizing a donor management database required.
Experience proactively contacting donors and prospects required, including cold outreach.
Project and/or program management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
