In this role, you will:

Qualifications
* M.S. or higher degree in an Engineering or Computer Science discipline
* At least 7 years of relevant professional experience in fields such as SystemsEngineering, System Safety, data analysis, performance tracking, or risk quantification for complex systems
* Experience performing hazard analysis using one or more methods such as STPA, Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), or Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA)
* Demonstrated experience in defining, implementing, and managing quantitative metrics and data pipelines for software or hardware systems
* Proficiency in probability, statistics, and quantitative analysis/modeling tools, with the ability to use Python to interface with large-scale data sources
* A strong understanding of complex software systems, preferably in robotics, autonomous driving, or aerospace
* A collaborative team player with strong written and in-person communication skills, capable of influencing and presenting complex data to varied audiences

Leveling, as well as positioning within a level, is determined by a range of factors, including, but not limited to, a candidate's relevant years of experience, domain knowledge, and interview performance. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in EE, CS or other related field.
8+ years of experience designing front-end systems and development using Javascript/Typescript, React, NodeJS, Server-side rendering using one of the open-sourced UI libraries (Material UI/Angular Material),Integration with REST/GraphQL APIs
Experience in BEM-structured CSS, Webpack and Express.js
Contributions to common libraries/components

The base pay range for this position is expected in the range below:
$196,800 - $262,700
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave). Be the point of contact for SDMA for field service issues related to SDMA safety and fail operational metrics. Triage the issue and lead/support the issue resolution process. Be available to support onsite issue investigation and resolution with short notice.
Design and improve internal tooling to support efficient triage and investigation of service events
Conduct root cause analysis using industry-standard methodologies (5-why, fault tree, fishbone analysis, FMEA, CAST, etc.)
Recommend corrective action plans (short and long-term) and improvement strategies based on investigation findings and align with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, operations, legal, safety policy, manufacturing, etc.) to define the solutions. These corrective action plans could include engineering solutions in hardware and software, as well as operational mitigations and process improvement
Ensure continuous feedback loop to to improve and refine operational safety requirements
Proactively identify potential safety hazards and service issues in Zoox's field operation of autonomous driving as a service through structured predictive safety analysis and review of historical operational data.
Be a part of the rotational on-call engineering team during milestone launches and operations.
Brief and report to executive teams
Qualifications
