This role will be filled at either the Senior Environmental Underwriter (Level III) or AVP, Environmental Underwriter (Level IV). The hiring manager will determine the appropriate level based upon the selected applicant's experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.
As a Senior Environmental Underwriter,(Sr. Level III or AVP Level IV)you will handle complex new and renewal domestic Environmental accounts and serve as a Subject Matter Expert on the team. As a member of Zurich's Underwriting Team, you will enjoy the opportunity to fully apply and hone your underwriting and marketing skills while building relationships with Select Brokers focused in the southern territory.
In this role, you will:
+ Administer and monitor underwriting rules and guidelines, insurance laws and regulations, and rating annual rules.
+ Develop, maintain & collaborate with Line of Business representatives on referrals and other business related needs, as appropriate.
+ May provide guidance to lower level associates.
+ Develop and maintain relationships with distributors (agents & brokers) in support of business retention and acquisition and works with customers and distributors (agents & brokers) to determine their insurance related needs and provide solutions.
+ Supports the sales culture by being a Help Point for agents, brokers and customers.
+ Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities.
+ Complete detailed opportunity assessment with key distributors to identify growth opportunities
+ Qualify accounts to meet with the organization's appetite, balanced with sound business opportunity.

Basic Qualifications, Senior Level III:

What Is the Opportunity?
Reports to Field Manager, Boiler and Machinery. Responsible for managing delivery of Boiler and Machinery Risk Control services to large account and special risk clients country-wide. Works with underwriters and business partners to help acquire and retain profitable business. Provides technical advice and account information to aid in risk selection and pricing. This is a field adjuster role that requires conducting physical site inspections of residential and commercial properties to assess damages and determine coverages. Responsibilities
Ensure onsite inspection are completed of properties to include investigating facts, evaluating damages, and writing estimates.
Investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to and over $500,000.

What Is the Opportunity?
Under moderate supervision, the National Property Account Engineer designs and oversees delivery of valued and high quality Property Risk Control services to assigned large National Property accounts and clients country-wide. This includes activities in support of: Acquisition of new business through participation in account meetings at the request of National Property Underwriters, including presentations around Risk Control's value proposition as it relates to that specific class of business and unique situations for that account; Loss Prevention activities to achieve/maintain a profitable account. Identification of past losses and potential for trends or emerging issues; and Account Retention, whereby the value provided by Risk Control is a factor in the account renewing with Travelers. This position influences but does not manage others.
Please note that this role can be leveled up to Senior Account Engineer commensurate with experience.
What Will You Do?
* Maintain a consistent field presence, spending approximately 20% - 50% of the time onsite with customers. Traveling to customers may entail long-distance, overnight travel, and/or multi-night trips depending on the needs of the business and alignment with territory and/or geography.
* Serves as client contact and consults with them on strategies for controlling hazards to reduce or prevent losses. Influences clients to implement recommendations. Develops comprehensive plan for services to be delivered, appropriate resources to be used. Negotiates with and manage client expectations to achieve appropriate balance between service and cost.
* Develops meaningful, impactful, timely and professional Risk Control Service Plans, Risk Control Service Summaries, and Mid-Term Reviews and related account correspondence.
* Provides Risk Control Service Instructions as necessary for quality and service delivery of appropriate services by our countrywide RC staff.
* Provides technical advice and account information to National Property Underwriters for risk assessment and analysis.
* Maintains current knowledge of account losses, emerging issues relevant to the account, operational changes and the property hazards and protection issues associated with them for assigned accounts.
* Acts in autonomous capacity and in close communication with the National Property Underwriters for their assigned account list, plus the Property Director, serving as a resource to the National Property Underwriter in development of insurance deal and account retention strategies. Assists with presentations to potential and current insureds to demonstrate a Risk Control value proposition tailored to the needs of the account.
* Builds and maintains productive relationships with underwriting and service teams assigned to the national business, with the broker/agent community, with Claim Account Executives, and other Risk Control staff as appropriate.
* Develops and documents "success stories" relating to measurable reductions in Loss Expectancies and improvement in protection at account locations.
* Takes the initiative to act as a mentor to other employees that are servicing assigned accounts.
* Functions as a field Property Specialist as workload demands and/or to better service assigned accounts.

Overview: We are currently seeking a Claim Center Operations Representative to join our North America Claim Operations Team. This position will report directly to the Claims Operations Manager and will be responsible for providing essential support to the claims process. You will play a crucial role in supporting our claims adjusters and their leadership. This in-office position involves a variety of duties that are critical to the smooth operation of our claims process. You will assist with administrative duties, conduct research, route inquiries, and contribute to the overall success of the Claims Operations team.

Key Responsibilities
Manage high-volume work requests while ensuring adherence to service-level agreements and turnaround time expectations, this includes accurate documentation of actions in the respective systems & databases.
Ability to adapt quickly to new processes and technology, which can include maneuvering between multiple system applications confidently to find information.
Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders and business partners regarding claim operations-related inquiries. At times, this may require engaging with external and internal customers or business partners to help resolve service issues as needed.
Support the Claims Operations Manager in executing on workflows to improve quality and minimize errors for support services. This includes identifying and suggesting opportunities for process and workflow optimizations, resource allocation, and technology enhancements.
Experience & Education Requirements:
Strong ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
Advanced analytical abilities using logical practices to resolve work requests
Basic understanding of administrative-type work and workflow management.
Effective communication skills that foster collaboration and support team objectives.
Proactive approach to problem-solving and willingness to take initiative.
Experience in an insurance claim support environment is helpful
High school diploma or GED required.
