Gensler is seeking a professional, motivated, and highly collaborative individual to join our team as a Regional Marketing & Communications Specialist. As a Marketing Specialist, you will team with practitioners across the region to create quals, proposals, presentations, and other deliverables as we pursue work across all of our design services and practice areas. As a Communications Specialist you will support award submissions, social media, events, and media relations support in Miami specifically. The ideal candidate has a passion for design, superior graphic skills, strong writing skills, and a team-player attitude. They will work to support a range of activities designed to amplify Gensler's brand, reputation, and thought leadership.
What You Will Do
Marketing
Work with principals, senior staff, and other marketing team members, as needed, to design, write, and produce proposals, presentations, and other marketing collateral in alignment with brand standards
Participate in and champion strategy and planning sessions
Develop new materials to support business development activities
Public Relations and Communications
Assist in developing public relations and communications collateral including press materials, project case story narratives, website content, and other thought leadership
Collaborate with PR team to maintain media assets, contact lists, and editorial calendars
Social media support including content development and community management
Support regional PR team in tracking and reporting external impact though media and industry partners
Speaking Engagements
Support team on speaker submissions, presentation content development, talking points, and event coordination as needed
Maintain annual conference calendar and track related deadlines for the team
Work collaboratively with the team on hosted events in the New York office
Awards & Surveys
Prepare and submit award submissions as assigned
Assist with local and firmwide awards and ranking programs
Work with communications manager to maintain local award calendar and deadlines
Social Media
Adapt firmwide toolkits for local channels and leaders
Support with graphics and development for local campaigns
Brainstorm ideas for social media channels around events, announcements, and initiatives
Your Qualifications
3-10 years of experience in marketing, public relations, media, or communications roles, preferably in the AEC industry
Strong writing, editing, grammar and interpersonal skills
Video filming and editing skills a plus
Self-motivator with strong organizational skills to coordinate and pro-actively manage multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to work with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment, and problem-solve where necessary
Professional demeanor and a friendly, flexible, proactive team player
Proficiency in InDesign and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

What You Will Do
* Direct the production of drawings, specifications, and construction administration activities
* Ensure project documentation clearly communicates design intent while meeting the highest technical standards
* Resolve complex technical and design challenges to deliver innovative, constructible, and high-quality solutions
* Contribute to the development, coordination, and oversight of project manuals and specifications
* Coordinate architectural documentation with multidisciplinary consultants, including structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustics, accessibility, building envelope, and life safety
* Collaborate closely with project teams, clients, vendors, contractors, and consultants across a wide range of healthcare projects, including hospitals, medical office buildings, outpatient clinics, surgery centers, and community health facilities
* Manage AHCA (Agency for Health Care Administration) communication and stage approvals for Florida healthcare projects
* Conduct on-site observations and document site reviews during construction
* Review submittals, substitution requests, and respond to RFIs during construction
* Interface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the project
* Actively contribute to the financial performance and successful delivery of projects
* Support proposal development and contract review in collaboration with the Project Manager
* Build, maintain, and strengthen productive, long-term client relationships
* Mentor, collaborate with, and support team members across experience levels
* Engage in office-wide initiatives, learning programs, and practice-building efforts
Your Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited institution
* 6-10 years of related experience on healthcare projects, from feasibility studies, pre-design, space programming, master planning to schematic design, design development and construction documents
* Experience working within AHCA to deliver projects in the state of Florida is preferred
* Manage AHCA communication and stage approvals
* Knowledge of building systems, codes, and structures
* Proficiency in Revit is required
* LEED AP (or in process) preferred
* Experience delivering high-performance, resilient healthcare buildings preferred

What You Will Do
* Collaborate on interior architecture and interior design projects for Workplace Interiors that include programming client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning, and management of budgets and schedules
* Manage client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with structural, MEP, lighting, and AV consultants
* Responsible for communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and building and permitting officials
* Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges
* Support Specifications Writer to maintain project manual and specifications
* Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFI's during construction
* Establish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships
* Provide guidance, mentorship and training to teammates
Your Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Interior Design or Interior Architecture from an accredited program
* 6-10 years of relevant (interior architecture for workplaces: Professional Services, Technology, Financial Services, etc.) commercial design experience, ideally inclusive of all phases through construction administration
* Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3D and other modeling software programs
* Knowledge of Photoshop, Enscape, Illustrator, InDesign, SPEXX a plus
* Working knowledge of building codes and standards, and permit processes
* Hand rendering skills to communicate design concepts are a plus
* Outstanding conceptual 3-dimensional thinking and graphic presentation skills to effectively communicate design ideas
* Flexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of development
* Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
* A quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment
* Strong leadership, organization, communication and relationship management skills
* Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; If possible, portfolios should include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus, which we look forward to discussing during the interview

A focus for this role will be designing Hospitality interiors.
You are an integral member of the design team who itches to contribute a point of view and craves participation in all phases of our projects from conceptual thought process and design exploration through construction administration. With you as part of our team, interiors have never been so engaging.
What You Will Do
* Visioning and programming for interior design projects, space planning, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, shop drawing reviews, code compliance, and construction administration
* Select and document furniture, fabrics, equipment (FF&E), color palettes, and decorative lighting
* Generate finish plans, RCPs, lighting plans, specifications, material selections, and millwork drawings and details
* Provide design leadership and documentation during project execution
* Coordinate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture dealers, and fabricators
* Integrate new technology and tools on projects (AR, VR, computational design, etc.)
* Support design presentations and develop effective client relationships as trusted advisor
* Support marketing and business development efforts as needed
* Guide and mentor teammates
* QA/QC specifications and construction document sets
* Strive to elevate design quality on every project, and foster and cultivate a culture of design in the office
Your Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
* 6-10 years of interior design experience, inclusive of at least 4 recent years for Hospitality (hotel lobbies, hotel rooms, hotel amenity spaces) projects
* Proficient in Revit, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max and other modeling software programs
* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
* NCIDQ/CID certification (or in process)
* Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Ideally portfolios will include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focus
Proficiency with:
* Selection of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specifications
* Interior construction documents
* Applicable codes and safety considerations
* Strong storytelling ability, both verbal and written, that conveys purpose and impact
* Strong graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideas
* NCIDQ/CID certification (or in process)
