How We Determined This
Utilizing Google Trends, we identified the beverages that each state is favoring to ring in the New Year. We analyzed over 30 popular drinks, including Champagne, classic cocktails, and fruity favorites. From this, we identified each state’s most “uniquely searched cocktails,” meaning the drinks that had the highest search volume compared to other states.
In cases where multiple drinks had similar search interest, the one with the highest overall search volume was selected. Our analysis considered search data from a four-day period surrounding New Year’s Eve 2025.
Cheers! Here’s to a Bright New Year!
As we welcome 2026, 21 states will be celebrating with the timeless tradition of Champagne, while others are choosing more unique options.
Daiquiris and Margaritas may evoke images of summer beaches rather than winter festivities, but they reflect a spirit of joy and resilience.
