Healthcare in the US has been a hot button issue for a long time, but current events — including former President Barack Obama’s controversial ACA, followed by President Donald Trump’s even more controversial attempts to repeal and replace the ACA — have forced issues of healthcare even further into the limelight.
But amidst all the discussion of how healthcare should or shouldn’t function and who’s eligible to receive it, one group that often gets ignored is those who work for healthcare providers themselves. Working for a healthcare provider is an important position that requires a lot of specialized knowledge, taking years of school and training — and after putting in all that time and money, it’s still possible for healthcare professionals to wind up working for an employer that (for whatever reason) isn’t all that great.
Given all that, we wondered if it might be possible to track down which healthcare or healthcare technology providers in a particular location (this time Houston, TX) were the best of the best — so, using company scores from websites that aggregate reviews like GlassDoor and Indeed as a baseline, we created our own list of some of the best healthcare companies to work for who had offices within a 30-mile commute of Houston, TX.
The full list can be found further down, but first, here’s a quick top ten.
