Charlie the Butcher’s
1065 Wehrle Dr
Yelp: 4 Stars, 159 Reviews
At Charlie The Butcher’s, meat’s the way to go with the traditional Beef on Weck.
Tender beef that sits between two caraway seed buns. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
It’s the kind of place for a sandwich on hectic day at work so that everything seems bearable again.

Morning get away from you and want to get a quick breakfast for lunch? Sophia’s has you covered.
Cinnamon walnut french toast, or pancakes(!), will hit the spot no matter the time of day or day of the week.
If you’re more in the mood for lunch, try a friend bologna sandwich. It’s like a school lunch for grown ups.
Duff’s Famous Wings
3651 Sheridan Dr
Yelp: 4 Stars, 597 Reviews
Duff’s is the place to put back some wings at lunch time. Especially good if you’re stuck in boring office, the sauce will spice up your afternoon.
Remember to get a side of fries or onion rings to balance out the spicy meat. Or just get more wings. Either one works.
And if you bring some back to the office, it’ll probably help your promotion chances.

The first couple of places on this list have been a bit meat heavy (as is my preference), but Amy’s Place takes us into the wide world of vegetables.
The thing to try there? Veggie Wet Shoes.
I know, you normally think of wet shoes as probably the worst feeling in the world, but these are out of this world. Think of it like Iceland — they only want people in the know to know. And now you know.
Lloyd Taco Truck
Yelp: 4 Stars, 255 Reviews
No lunch list would be complete without tacos or burritos, so consider Lloyd checking that box on this list.
I personally like this Yelp review a ton:
Anything pork is gold. My suggestion – two. Pork tacos, medium or hot, and if they have extra avocado cream from a special do yourself a favor and add it to your vessel. You’re welcome.
She’s speaking my language.
Betty’s continues the streak of places with a name or apostrophe in it (Seems like a bunch of places in Buffalo use this naming convention). Oh and it continues the streak of places with amazing lunch time eats.
This time it’s tofu hash or scramble.
Maybe it’s a breakfast food, maybe it’s a lunch food, but whatever it will brighten up your work day.
Bring friends and brag about going to everyone back at the office.
Pho 99 Fast Food
3398 Bailey Ave
Yelp: 4 Stars, 164 Reviews
Gotta love a pho place with fast food in the name.
Pho 99 Fast Food has quality soup at a great price that fills you up every time.
Try the lemongrass chicken on the avocado snake. You won’t be disappointed.
Five Points Bakery
44 Brayton St
Yelp: 4.5 Stars, 116 Reviews
When you have that sweet tooth hit at the lunch our, check out Five Points Bakery. I know I could eat a good pastry at any time of the day and Five Points delivers.
Go for a cinnamon roll if you want the classic. Or, for something lighter, don’t be afraid to just order some toast and eggs.
And if you haven’t noticed at this point, I’m all for eating breakfast at lunch. It’s like I do it once a week or something….
Ashker’s Juice Bar and Cafe
1002 Elmwood Ave
Yelp: 4.5 Stars, 185 Reviews
Ashker’s brings me back to the more commonly thought of lunch place, complete with fresh everything you can imagine and a side of juice.
And the juice is the real draw. Sure you can get fresh, local produce in sandwich form, but doesn’t it taste so much better juiced?
Try anything with ginger in it, you won’t be disappointed.
And you can always bring it back to the office and look super healthy to everyone. A nice perk indeed.
Suzy Q’s Barbeque Shack
2829 Niagara St
Yelp: 4.5 Stars, 77 Reviews
Oh my my my Suzy Q, you stole my BBQ heart. There’s nothing that warms me to my soul more than quality BBQ. And with dishes named Piggie Pig and Salty Hog, I think I’ll be just fine.
What’s a salty hog you might ask? Potatoes topped with pulled pork, beans, cheese, and slaw. It’s like a Southern burrito bowl of awesomeness.
And to wash it all down? Some of Suzy Q’s cornbread.
