Unemployment Rate: 3.00%
Median Household Income: $73,566
Green River plays Robin to Marbleton’s Batman as it scores a distant second overall ranking for best places in Wyoming for jobs.
It still has an excellent unemployment rate and median household income, it just can’t compete with Marbleton. That being said, I don’t think anyone goes to be losing sleep about the second place finish any time soon.
Unemployment Rate: 3.00%
Median Household Income: $73,404
The people of North Rock Springs must walk with a spring in their step as they rank as the third best place for jobs in Wyoming.
It has the basically the same statistics as Green River, however it has a median household income $100 lower. That’s basically the difference between being able to pay for standard internet or the extra turbo version each year. Put differently, not these two places are the same for all intends and purposes when it comes to jobs.
Unemployment Rate: 3.50%
Median Household Income: $37,344
Thermopolis took a bit of a different route than the previous two places to achieve the ranking of the fourth best place for jobs in Wyoming.

Median Household Income: $46,461
Cody takes the fifth spot on our ranking of the best places to get a job in Wyoming.

Unemployment Rate: 2.60%
Median Household Income: $87,440
The seventh best place for jobs in Wyoming goes to Sleepy Hollow.
The town is anything but sleepy when it comes to jobs as it has the fifth best unemployment rate in the Cowboy State. It’s hard to blame a town for not having the highest recent job growth when almost everyone already has a job.
Unemployment Rate: 2.30%
Median Household Income: $72,525
It was a close shave, but Gillette broke out of a three way tie to take the eighth spot on our list.
It has the lowest unemployment rate in the Cowboy State, one heck of a bragging right as Wyoming’s overall unemployment rate is one of the best in the nation.

Median Household Income: $82,933
Ranking as the ninth best place in Wyoming to get a job in Wyoming is Wright.
It ranks as having the fifth best unemployment rate in the state and the sixth highest median household income. Or, if you will, the “price is right” in Wright.

And rounding out the top ten is Basin.
While Basin may be at the basin of our top ten places for jobs in the Cowboy State, it’s still a great place for jobs. It has some of the best recent job growth and prospects for future job growth.
Basin is in line to move up the list in the near future.
