Window Sales
Allegheny Millwork & Lumber, located in the South Side of Pittsburgh, is an industry-leading lumberyard with a window and door division that focuses on the sale of three premium window lines: Marvin Windows and Doors, Kolbe Windows and JELD-WEN Windows.
The ideal candidate for this position must be familiar with general construction practices as it pertains to framing and window installation. Must be able to read and understand construction plans and have some field experience with either framing or window installation and/or a Construction Management degree. Knowledge in Window/Glazing Industry a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and develop new accounts. The position will require travel throughout the Pittsburgh region to call on builders, remodelers and architects and to build a solid customer base with assistance from the Sales Manager.
Analyze architectural drawings, make material take-offs, obtain quotes from suppliers, and interpret specifications.
Provide detailed proposals and an accurate bid package.
Take direction from various staff members.
Maintain detailed and organized records of bid documents.
Possess strong computer skills using excel spreadsheets and formulas.
Communicate effectively with vendors and customers.
Perform job cost analysis and assist in preparing projections.
Maintain up-to-date product knowledge on all products offered.
Assist in setting up files and databases for new projects and prepare master quotes.
Provide administrative support to the Sales Manager.
Assist in maintenance, general cleaning and upkeep of displays and display area.
Skills/Qualifications:
A four-year bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management.
Proven ability to read architectural blueprints and shop drawings.
Proven ability to extract all key data elements from contracts, and to establish processes and systems to ensure compliance with all contractual terms.
Assist in managing all aspects of workflow and understand project specs, construction documents, and perform complete window and door take-offs.
Detail-oriented and organized.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong software experience, with preference for working knowledge of Outlook, Proficient in MS Office (Especially Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat PDF Documents.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet project deadlines
Provide excellent customer service and develop vendor relationships

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Loading, transporting, and delivering items to clients in a safe, timely manner
Verifying the details of each delivery
Ensuring the truck has sufficient fuel at all times
Adhering to assigned routes and following schedules
Informing your Manager of potential delays
Reporting all vehicle-related issues for urgent attention
Abiding by all transportation laws and maintaining a safe driving record
Operating equipment and machines, such as forklifts

POSITION OVERVIEW
Initiate, develop, and grow commercial painting relationships
Ensure customers receive a detailed written proposal for all request
Ensure that our customers' needs and expectations are clearly communicated and accurately documented on a written proposal
Present CertaPro Painters of Pittsburgh - South Hills to prospective customers to differentiate ourselves from our competition

REQUIREMENTS· Valid driver's license PREFERRED EXPERIENCE· Working knowledge of interior and exterior paint coatings, carpentry, drywall, EIFS, DRYVIT, and other construction· Business-to-business sales and marketing experience ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS MARKETING:· Identify prospects in target markets· Initiate contact and build relationships through individual contacts and relevant trade associations· Maintain social media presence· Manage budget of sponsorships, memberships, and other trade association opportunities· Market to database of previous customers, current prospects, and dead leads to grow revenue· Collaborate on commercial case studies and commercial portfolio for website SALES:· Win sales commitments with new customers in a competitive market· Grow revenue from existing accounts and relationships· Appropriately determine gross margin to win business while remaining profitable· Develop relationships with peer providers to network and gain new accounts ESTIMATING:· Meet with the customer, in person, whenever possible to perform an estimate and gather information about their needs · Create a detailed written proposal that accurately, specifically, and clearly defines the customer's needs and expectations · Responsible for approving and communicating to clients all change orders for jobs in progress· Use the commercial estimating worksheet to estimate all jobs over $10,000 PRODUCTION:· Upon landing the job, clearly communicate the most up-to-date scope of work and the customer's needs to the production staff· Assign the most appropriate crew to jobs based on their past performance, preferences, and abilities· Develop a close working relationship with Job Site Supervisors to ensure all expectations set forth on the written proposal are met. · Schedule all commercial jobs and order paint and supplies· Ensure all landed jobs are “handed off” to the Job Site Supervisor in person and all CertaPro SOPs are followed.· Ensure that the Job Site Supervisor (JSS) is clear on the scope of the job· Ensure that crews produce jobs at or above the projected gross margin· Facilitate the resolution of customer complaints promptly· Collaborate with Residential Production Associate and owners to continuously recruit, hire and train top tier painting crews· Collaborate with team on painter appreciation events and production meetings in terms of content, facilitation, and planning· Maintain and continuously recruit a roster of commercial crews to meet the needs of commercial business ADMINISTRATIVE:· Prepares weekly analysis of results in preparation for meeting with supervisor· Communicate job profiles for all landed jobs· Collaborates on subcontractor agreements, client invoices, and other job-related documents· Update CRM with sales, prospecting activities, and all follow-up activities· Ensure all jobsite supervisors have completed all onboarding paperwork before working on CertaPro jobs· Collaborate to accurately cost all jobs (paint, supplies, labor)· Pay subcontractors for completed work At CertaPro Painters, we're dedicated to delivering certainty to our clients. Our company is looking for a reliable, hardworking Finish Carpenter to do installations and complete the finishing touches on trim and carpentry work for different construction projects. You may work on a variety of projects, including window installations, aluminum wrapping, interior and exterior door installations, interior moulding and wood panels. Our ideal candidate has an aptitude for precision and can accommodate unique build requirements from clients.
