Job Summary:
This position requires field service on commercial/industrial boiler and burner systems in Northern Ohio. This includes natural gas and fuel oil combustion testing, adjusting of the fuel/air ratio on various boilers, burners, ovens, and incinerators, while using an electronic combustion analyzer in addition to other customer boiler service needs.
Responsibilities:
Desirable candidate should possess specific knowledge of industrial/commercial steam and hot water boilers, and auxiliary equipment.
Familiar with all forms of flame safeguards and the use of VOM's and other troubleshooting tools.
Quote associated controls.
Quote replacement, and modifications to customer's boiler room equipment.
Develops relationships with vendors.
Maintains awareness of trends affecting equipment market.
Follows up on projects that have not been completed i.e. open Work Orders that salesperson has quoted.
Follows up on additional parts or service work needed that are listed on service tickets and job estimates.
Issues purchase orders to service technicians on salesmen's projects.
Provide quality service for all assigned tasks while upholding company core values at all times.
Maintains department goals for profitability and efficiency.
Quotes burner, control, and boiler upgrades.
Negotiates service & equipment contracts.
Develops relationships with customers.
Responsible to attend service meetings and ongoing training.
Oversees the completion of service projects from review of plans or request for quote, to project close out, ensuring all is done within budget and deadlines.
Sells service contracts & water treatment agreements.
Reviews open work order files weekly
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years field experience on boilers & burners.
Boiler system's operational knowledge
Excellent organizational skills and working knowledge of the boiler trade.
Experience in boiler upgrades which includes electrical, combustion, and refractory installation.
Experience in burner controls which includes familiarity with Fireye, Honeywell, Siemens, & Autoflame flame safeguard controls and management systems.
Be able to effectively communicate with customers, employees & vendors
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work responsibilities.
Ability to work independently and to instruct others.
Ability to sell and manage projects.
