Position Summary:
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Shipping & Receiving Clerk provides support to the Operations team that furthers our mission to help people who have different abilities to receive work support and development as needed -- achieving the highest level of independence possible.
Accurately fills order and ensures proper packaging. Loads and unloads materials. Safely operates equipment including a forklift and to help maintain organization of inventory. Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers, communicating needs to the supervisor, and implementing feedback for improvement. Performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Order accuracy. Verify that all orders are accurately filled. Compares items and quantities of goods gathered for shipment against documents. Counting and bundling products.
Accurate shipment packaging. Ensures that all shipments are properly packaged, identified with proper shipping information, and loaded into transportation vehicles. Prepares and keeps records of goods shipped.
Package coordination. Coordinates packages for shipment using UPS, USPS, and Federal Express delivery systems.
Inventory organization. Maintains organization of inventory and products. Ensures efficient loading & unloading of shipments, tracking & logging shipment information as needed. Coordinate's location of product throughout the warehouse. Handles, drives, and maneuvers a forklift when unloading and loading materials and supplies

Key Responsibilities:
1. 4. Communication: Notify the proper authority in cases of mechanical failure, safety deficiencies, when off schedule, or other incidents. Coordinate with site managers/staff regarding client behavior or needs requiring additional follow-up, resolving issues as they arise. Attend and participate in department meetings and training as scheduled. Report all accidents immediately, requesting police or ambulance service as needed; assist injured persons until services arrive; and complete required accident reports. Maintain a professional, positive image and attitude.
5. General: Assist with collecting vehicle information for grant tracking if/as needed. Assist Transportation Manager or Transportation Lead with related duties as assigned. * General Maintenance: Support the Company's mission by providing maintenance services needed for business operations. Plumbing maintenance includes but is not limited to replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching, and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc. Power washing, painting, carpentry, and masonry work includes but is not limited to preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc. Reconfigures, installs, positions, and moves furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc. to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power and specialty tools, dollies, and hand trucks.
* Preventative Maintenance: Inspect assigned buildings, sites, and structures to detect needed repairs and preventative maintenance needs, making notes and recommendations. Discuss recommendations with Director. Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
* Safety: Perform monthly safety checks on each home and training center. Includes recording various checks, signing of fire extinguishers, water temperatures, door operation, etc.
