The Intervention Specialist RoleThe Intervention Specialist provides direct intervention for children and adolescents with developmental disabilities in the home, center, or community setting. Intervention Specialists work with children to develop positive behaviors and the skills they need to function in a typical home and community environment.
Daily Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 behavior intervention to clients, between the ages of 3 to 21, with developmental disabilities.
Record daily data and keep detailed notes during therapy sessions.
Maintain open communication with clients and families on a set caseload. Provide family training when needed.
Work in collaboration with designated Clinical Supervisor in order to support with service plans and continue to meet all clients' needs, and to collaborate with other team members and departments.
Support any behavioral needs, including addressing and following plans for maladaptive behaviors for client in multiple settings - community, school, and home.
Transport clients during therapy sessions to any necessary settings/services.
Position Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in a Human Service Field, or Bachelor's Degree in a non-human service related field with 24 minimum upper division semester credits in human services field.
1040 hours of supervised experience working with individual's between birth to 21 years of age who demonstrate functional or behavioral needs.
Must have completed, or be willing to complete, a 40-hour Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training course prior to the start date. Alternatively, individuals who hold a Habilitative Intervention (HI) certificate issued in Idaho prior to July 1, 2019, may continue to provide services as an Intervention Specialist in lieu of the RBT training.

Responsibilities
Our Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) are responsible for the delivery and supervision of patient care through the nursing processes of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care to infants, children, and adolescents primarily in their home according to the active plan of care, as given by the physician and other appropriate personnel.
Provide services in accordance with a physician's orders and in adherence to state, federal, and national accreditation commission regulations; under the direction and supervision of clinical supervision staff and the agency Administrator.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by the
Document timely clear, concise, and accurate clinical notes in accordance with the plan of care.
Notify the RN Case Manager of any changes in the patient's condition.
Provide and document education to patients and their families on specific details of diagnosis, treatment, and prevention.
Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure that patients are receiving quality care, necessary to achieve, and exceed individual
Uses appropriate infection control procedures and safety
Comply with all company policies, practices, and procedures.

Qualifications
Education and Work Experience Requirements
Current State Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) License.
One (1) Year Home Health Experience Preferred
One (1) Year Pediatric Experience Preferred.
Current CPR Certification.
Other Qualifications and Skills
Must have reliable transportation to office and patients' homes.
Physical Demands/Working Environment
Position regularly requires bending, reaching, standing, stooping, sitting, twisting, talking, and hearing.
Push and pull 50 pounds (position patient, move equipment, etc.).
Support 50 pounds of weight (ambulate patient).
