Develop prototypes and test new programs/methods working in a hands-on environment with shop floor personnel to gain feedback on potential improvements. Assists Quality Department in identifying and correcting programming issues that led to non-conformances. Provides time studies, router, and job cost review to ensure standards are up to date and being met. Create and or maintain documentation of all types as required. The CNC Machinist is a position within the Production team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this team member will be a utility player in our CNC production area setting up and running two Puma 2600SY machine with an attitude of helpfulness that supports the operations of our production. The successful candidate will be a self-starter that is organized, flexible, and possesses communication skills with a willingness to collaborate amongst the team. What you'll do: Support the manufacturing floor (production) by performing operations such as: • Safely operating CNC equipment (Fanuc Controls) on two Puma 2600SY and Mori Seiki SL15. • Inspecting product to print tolerances. • Making offset adjustments and changing tools as needed. • Perform setups on proven programs independently. • Carry out maintenance duties of the facility and production floor. • Helping out wherever is needed; we all wear many hats and you'll need to be flexible & willing to help.
