* Calibrate and ensure proper use and care of inspection and test equipment
* Maintain work area in compliance with good housekeeping practices and 6s principles
* Provide feedback for C.I. and any issues necessary for compliance
* Make and populate Daily T.P.M. / 6s operator interface checks
* Collect quality target data for reporting by CNC Machining Cell as defined
* Participate in company promoted events such as 6s, TPM and other operational C.I. programs

MACHINIST-Hourly JOB DESCRIPTION Machine parts to specifications following instructions, drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Set-up and operate various machining tools on CNC and manual machines to produce precision parts efficiently and effectively. Perform set-ups and machining operations on machines capable of milling, grinding, turning, and boring or similar equipment. Provide quality assurances of meeting company specifications. Other duties as may be assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to download, edit, run, and save new programs on various machinecontrols to meet engineering drawing dimensions, tolerances, and specifications
Machine parts to specifications using boring mills, grinders, lathes and or similar equipment
Measure and examine completed parts for defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers
Set up, adjust, and operate all tools and many specialized or custom tools to perform precision machining operations
Study sample parts, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to manufacture products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances
Understanding of machining low carbon, alloy, tool steels and other materials
Select the appropriate tools, machines, and materials to be used in preparation of machinery work and setup
Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel to exchange technical information
Ability to work in a team environment to achieve the best results and share best practices and information throughout the department and organization
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Shop environment
Steel-toed safety shoes and safety glasses required
Must be able to regularly lift loads of up to 50 pounds
Work can be strenuous, and includes walking, climbing, kneeling, crawling, squatting, and pulling (such as on torque wrenches) as well as standing for long periods of time
SCHEDULE
Standard 8-hour shifts, 150% paid anytime over 8 hours daily, hours over 45 in a week are paid as double time
Shift availability, standard schedules shown below
First Shift 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday - Friday
Second Shift 3:30 PM - 12:00 AM, Monday - Friday + 12.5% Shift Premium
Third Shift 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Sunday - Thursday + 7.5% Shift Premium

CNC Machinist
Using your experience, set up and prove out programs on 4 or 5 axis CNC milling machines and machining centers to machine complex parts from various metals and composites to meet the tight tolerances required in the aerospace and defense industries.

5:30am - 4pm (Monday - Friday)
2nd Shift (There are a variety of full and part time schedules for our 2nd shift employees.)
5 - 10 hour shifts (Monday - Friday)
4 - 10 hour shifts (Monday - Friday)
4 - 12 hour shifts (Monday - Friday)
Responsibilities
Work from routed instructions, manufacturing process plans, blue prints and verbal instructions under moderate supervision.
Plan and make set-ups using needed tools for the CNC program per the set-up sheet.
Use a variety of hand held measuring instruments.
May write programs at the machine.
Download and upload programs at the machine.
Completes accompanying routers as operations are successfully finished before moving.
Qualifications
High school career machine trades program is preferred.
G&M coding experience.
Ability to read blue prints and working knowledge of GD&T.
Mechanical and spatial aptitude.
Must have own tools.

Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. May also fabricate parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedures. Sets up and operates milling machine to machine alloy castings by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and instruments such as micrometers and Vernier calipers.
Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
Measure, examine, and test complete units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.
Set up. Adjust, and operate all the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
Monitor the feeding and speed of machines during the machining process.
Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products and determine product dimensions and tolerances.
Select the appropriate tools, machines and materials to be used in preparation or machinery work.
Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock to display placement of cuts.
Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions and to determine need for adjustments or repairs.
Accurately track time worked in labor control system.
Other duties as assigned.
Shift - Continuous Operations: 6pm to 6am - Sunday/Monday/Tuesday and every other Saturday
Experience and Education:
A high school diploma or GED; technical training preferred.
CNC/Machinist experience preferred but not required; manufacturing experience in the casting industry is a plus.
