Job Responsibilities
As a CNC Laser Operator, you will be responsible for producing sheet metal parts using a laser/punch combination machine. This is a hands-on production role in a clean, fast-paced environment. Core responsibilities include:
Loading and unloading sheet metal into CNC laser machines
Pulling and executing nested programs for part runs
Labeling and cataloging completed parts
Performing daily startup/shutdown of the machine
Cleaning and lubricating tools and maintaining lenses
Managing assist gas supply and remnant shelving
Conducting visual inspections to ensure part quality
Performing light machine troubleshooting and edits to programs as needed
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of CNC laser or related machine operation experience
Ability to read mechanical prints and part drawings
Proficient with measuring tools such as calipers
Comfortable navigating and modifying machine programs
Basic PC skills for data entry and machine logging
Preferred Experience
Prior experience with laser cutting machines, automation, or punch press
Familiarity with industrial fabrication environments

The CNC Mill Set-Up Machinist will produce machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; and keeping records.

Sets up mills safely by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers; indicating vices; tramming heads.
