General Summary and Purpose:
The Credit Research Analyst will contribute to the success of the fixed income team by providing fundamental investment research and analysis on individual corporate bond and leveraged loan issuers. The Credit Research Analyst will be responsible for covering one or more industry sectors across the Investment Grade, High Yield and Leveraged Loan asset classes. The analyst will work closely with other research analysts, sector teams, portfolio managers and traders to lead the development of sector and asset class investment views and opportunities
You Will:
• Contribute to the success of the fixed income team by efficiently providing fundamental investment research and analysis on individual corporate bond and leveraged loan issuers.
• Recommend investment ideas within a relative and absolute value framework, factoring in expected risk-adjusted returns within capital structures and between companies in the same industry.
• Execute on the three pillars of credit research: Buy discipline, Surveillance, Sell discipline.
• Write credit summaries based on research with buy/sell/hold recommendations, build and maintain company financial models to support investment theses.
• Analyze financial results and perform valuation analysis.
• Interact with credit rating agencies, external research analysts, and other independent sources to obtain external views on individual industries and issuers.
• Self-starter with a strong sense of curiosity
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to examine financial statements, macro factors and security/bond covenants and indentures

You Have:

Target Compensation:

Drives the production of complex management reports and associated results analysis, using business acumen and analytical ability to lead the team in identifying business drivers of results and communicating them effectively. Job Duties:
Provides an independent credit quality assessment of the larger, more complex existing and prospective Commercial Banking Members' credit structures by conducting comprehensive financial analyses, including scrutinizing financial statements (audited, reviewed, or self-prepared) or income tax returns, performing detailed financial statement analysis, trend analysis, industry assessments, collateral valuations, cash flow analysis and evaluation of the ability to repay required debt service.

The Position:
The Global Strategy & Asset Allocation team is seeking a highly analytical and execution-oriented Senior Analyst to support LMI's next phase of its $3.5bn tax credit investment mandate. This individual will have a primary focus on U.S. tax credit solutions as part of clean/renewable energy and advanced manufacturing project financing. The mandate comprises both transferable tax credits and traditional tax equity structures (e.g., partnership flips, hybrid/t-flips), and the individual will play a key role in the evaluation, structuring, execution, and management of investments. This role sits at the intersection of structured finance, project development, and energy transition policy, offering exposure to a high-growth segment of capital markets that scales across LMI's portfolio.
Responsibilities:
Investment Diligence: Support all phases of the investment lifecycle for transferable tax credits and renewable tax equity deals, including financial modeling, due diligence, risk assessment, and investment committee preparation.

Qualifications
