Duties and Responsibilities:
As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000+ workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity. Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.
Typical assignments include:
· Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.

GL-9: You qualify for the GL-9 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:
· Performing physical searches of detained individuals, their vehicles, and their immediate surroundings for weapons, contraband, currency, and other evidence.
· Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.
· Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.
If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.
GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as:
· Utilizing intelligence information to track illegal operations, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or contraband while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
· Leading investigations of fraud, contraband, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or illegal operations to determine sources and patterns while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.
· Apprehending violators of state, federal, or immigration laws by utilizing various forms of complex technology that include surveillance, detection, situation awareness systems, and/or communications equipment.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.
There are no education substitutions for the GL-9 or GS-11 grade-level Border Patrol Agent opportunities.
Other Requirements:
Citizenship: You must be a U.S. Citizen to apply for this position.
Residency: You must have had primary U.S. residency (including protectorates as declared under international law) for at least three of the last five years.
Age Restriction: In accordance with Public Law 100-238, this position is covered under law enforcement retirement provisions. Candidates must be referred for selection to the Border Patrol Agent position before reaching their 40th birthday in accordance with Department of Homeland Security Directive 251-03. Additional Information
Provides, directs and supervises all aspects of quality patient care, including but not limited to; screening, evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation in order to assure the best outcome possible for the patient. The Physical Therapist assures that the patient care follows the organization's guidelines, professional standards and community needs, and is in compliance with Federal and State guidelines.
Serves as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current prospective patients, to all internal and external customers. Ensures cross-disciplinary coordination in order to provide consistent patient care. Participates in quality assurance and customer service activities.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
•Directs and supervises the work of assistants, rehab aides and students as applicable with State and Federal guidelines.
•Follows all organizational and facility safety procedures regarding one's personal protection and patient safety.
•Develops treatment plan and provides treatment, consistent with benefit and reimbursement level, to assure best functional outcome for patient.
•Appropriately and effectively completes documentation including evaluations, daily progress notes, summaries, or monthly reports as required.
•Assures compliance with Physical Therapy code of ethics and PT practice in the State of California.
•Educates staff, other health care professionals and third party payers on the benefits and functional outcomes of intervention.
•Participates in: care plan meetings, rehab meetings and family training, in order to communicate patient status during therapy.
•Attends continuing education seminars/workshops to keep abreast of new clinical skills, programs or techniques. Provides in-service training sessions or other educational presentations to company, team or facility in order to enhance one's clinical and professional knowledge and skills.
•Maintains appropriate state licensure, certification and credentialing.
•Submits billing, payroll, and expense documentation in a timely manner.
•Makes appropriate referrals to other members of the rehab team.
•Conforms to all safety rules and use all appropriate safety equipment.
•Anything else as your supervisor and/or upper management may assign and/or require.
TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
May be exposed to blood, body fluids, burns, infectious diseases, air contaminants (including tobacco smoke), hazardous chemicals, and to the Hepatitis B virus, and will be responsible for following company safety policies and procedures and Health Department regulations regarding contact with any of the above.
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Education required: Minimum of Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy.
Masters degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
Licensure/Certification: Licensure or Certification, as required by State guidelines. CPR Certification
Experience: 1 year Physical Therapy experience preferred. 1-2 years experience in a residential/assisted living or
skilled nursing facility preferred.
New graduates considered.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL TASKS:
• Must be able to move intermittently throughout the workday.
• Must be able to lift up and over 100 pounds with assistance according to resident's abilities.
• Must be able to sit for extended periods of time and walk for extended periods of time.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The Tulare Canvasser works under the supervision of the Power California Senior Field Organizer to engage in neighborhood based canvassing, engage voters on campaign messaging, and carry out outreach activities by conducting tabling, conducting outreach at events, going door to door, making phone calls, and/or texting. The person in this role should be strongly motivated to do community organizing work, highly skilled in conversing in-person, over the phone and by text to contact and mobilize voters / potential voters. This individual must also be able to support their supervisor and provide leadership to other organizers. This position is central to our sibling 501(c)(4) nonprofit PowerCA Action's Internal Program to mobilize young voters of color via volunteer recruitment, community organizing, and community voter events.
Community Outreach
Coordinates and performs door-to-door canvassing, web-based phone, and text-banking to contact voters and/or potential voters/community residents
Participates in weekly training sessions on community organizing skills in order to move the community to take action on local issues.
Coordinates and performs community outreach in neighborhoods and neighborhood events.
Works regular 4 to 6-hour sessions including usually 4 days a week including weekends.
Maintains professional and engaging conversations with voters and peers, and adheres to legally vetted script.
Reports voter contact data on a daily basis to lead staff
Attends and mobilizes community members to attend campaign events that can include City Council Meetings, Cultural Pop-ups, rallies, and others.
Campaign Coordination
Copies and distributes campaign and logistical materials, as assigned .
Carries out assigned administrative work required to run canvassing sessions, phonebaking sessions and outreach activities.
Work closely with supervisor and staff to support the evaluation of canvassing and phonebanking sessions.
Work closely with staff to support community meetings and one large-scale community event.
Volunteer Recruitment
Helps recruit and

volunteers by conducting outreach activities at community events.
Maintains relationships with volunteers throughout the campaign.
Conducts volunteer recruitment through door-to-door canvassing, phone banking, texting, and/or as needed.
Works with supervisor and staff to connect interested volunteers with PowerCA Action membership team.
Carries out professional and engaging conversations with voters and peers.
Supports administrative pieces of campaign work, such as making photocopies, organizing materials, etc. as assigned.
Youth Leadership Development
Leads organizing orientations and training for young people.
Helps design and implement our leadership development program for youth leaders.
OTHER DUTIES
Documents student-led activities and narratives for our social media channels, as directed by communications staff, as assigned.
Participates in and provides feedback on content creation for social media channels through videos, storytelling, and pictures.
Carries out administrative tasks, as assigned.
Provides support at organizational events, as needed.
Works in good faith to support the overall stability and effectiveness of the organization.
Submits any and all required paperwork in a timely and accurate manner.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
One year of experience with voter engagement campaigns or customer service preferred
Passion for and commitment to working with young people of color, low-income immigrants, and refugees, especially from an intersectional perspective, including LGBTQIA+ communities
Familiarity with grassroots organizing, advocacy and electoral engagement techniques a plus
Able to communicate in an outgoing, enthusiastic, and persuasive manner
Strong attention to detail
