GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Fab/Machine operator's set-up, operate, and maintain machinery. Responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.
Fabrication involves cutting and bending of sheet metal for fabrication of Manitou products.
Shift Available: 1st Shift - Monday-Friday 5a-3:30p
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Assists with procuring materials needed for production. Must use tape measure, square, protractor, dial caliper and plug gauges.
Must operate the various equipment including lasers and press brakes.
Responsible for completion for production and quality paperwork.
Contact Fabrication Manager, Supervisor or Fabrication Leader if problems arise.
In the event of an accident or injury immediately, notify the Shift supervisor on duty.
Contact the Maintenance Department to get equipment repaired when necessary.
Ability and willingness to take on additional assignments as requested by management.
Use tools, equipment and technology, computers or automated systems.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Check results for conformance to print and / or specifications and make necessary corrections.
Work with coworkers in a polite and courteous manner, providing cross training as needed.
Able to work overtime as required.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Safely perform welding, weld components with welding equipment to fit and join, fabricate and/or repair heavy and large mechanical products per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule.
Available Shifts: 1st Shift: Monday-Friday 5a-1:30p
2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 3:30p-2a (15% Shift Differential)
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform weld duties
Weld components with weld equipment as specified by procedures, layout, blueprint, diagrams, work order and oral instruction
Have or must acquire the “basic” Weld Certification as the minimum requirement for all weld positions
Welds range from simple tacks to complex welds, performed in varying positions
Work includes set-up, laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify or fabricate parts and/or equipment products
Operate and/or use related equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, torches, drills, punches, tape measure and Air Arc
Read, understand and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures
Works from assembly prints and specifications
Performs own set-ups and/or works from prints and /or job specification
Maintain a level of work performance in accordance with Manitou standards and/or job specifications
Perform or assist in other assigned duties as qualified
Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with safety procedures, rules and regulations
EXPERTISE:
Equipment:
Tools, safety (metatarsal) shoes, safety glasses/goggles, gloves and other PPE as needed.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
Repetitive tasks, physically demanding, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly.
Essential Skills:
Perform work standing on concrete a minimum of 8 hours up to 10 hours per day. Willingness to train or work during hours outside of scheduled shift. Must have regular and reliable attendance. Perform work safely in accordance with all company safety policies, procedures and PPE requirements. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
PAY RANGE:
Base Pay Range between $25 - $28 per hour (plus 15% shift differential if on 2nd shift), plus a potential quarterly bonus based on performance metrics

What you'll be responsible for:
* Successfully reading and understanding American and European blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols to meet or exceed client expectations
* Using GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW to effectively weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts together per the weld process specification sheet
* Performing welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum
* Hand layouts of weldments with little to no supervision or assistance
* Using fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts to customer specifications

* Completing first piece, in process, and final inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures

QUALIFICATION JOB FUNCTIONS
