HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
Under limited supervision, welds components together in a production environment.
DUTIES
* Perform high‑quality welds in flat, vertical, and horizontal positions while following specifications, prints, and weld symbols.
* Set up, operate, and adjust various welding machines to meet standards, identifying and correcting weld defects independently.
* Weld steel and alloy components across multiple product lines using MIG/GMAW processes while maintaining accuracy and fixture condition.
* Meet productivity goals, promote quality improvements, and complete assigned tasks safely and efficiently.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
* High school diploma/GED with at least one year of welding experience, technical training, or certification.
* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and technical documents; strong communication across all production areas.
* Demonstrated commitment to safety, PPE use, clean work practices, and adherence to procedures.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Responsibilities
Follow all safety rules, policies, and procedures.
Inspections the entire interior and an exterior surface of spirally welded cylinders and perform repairs in compliance with AWWA C200 and additional job specifications as required.
Reports repairs and dimensional measurements accurately of cylinders to the nearest 32nd of an inch.
Utilize oxyacetylene cutting torch to square cylinder ends and perform repairs as needed.
Performs minor maintenance and repairs to welding equipment and tools.
Must properly use tools and care for equipment provided by the company to complete job tasks.
Maintain workstation by keeping it clean, organized, free from clutter and trip hazards.
Work under general supervision; will report to a crew leader and/or supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:
Must pass 3G with the back gouge and back weld with FCAW process
