TowerMRL and Advanced Tower Services have immediate openings for Telecommunication Tower Field Welder -Level 1 at entry level looking for professional and personal growth while traveling throughout the US. POSITION DOES REQUIRE LOCATION TO OUR COTTAGE GROVE, WI OR ALBUQUERQUE, NM LOCATION WITHIN 60 TO 120 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT. Telecommunication Tower Field Welder -Level 1 will learn and be trained perform a wide variety of field specific job duties. We travel throughout the US and although the travel is extensive, we look to schedule employees for 2-3 weeks in the field at a time. Time off is backlogged after each deployment. Employees wanting greater pay have the option for longer assignments. All welders must be able to perform welding while in a fall protection harness, in rain, in wind, extreme heat, and extreme cold. Welding is not performed under ideal conditions. Welding "out of position" requires welders to complete welds with both hands and with items blocking your vision. A WELDER MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO CLIMB TO HEIGHTS OF 500' TO COMPLETE WELDING TASKS. A welder must be able to lift more than 50 lbs., and have the ability to travel extensively out of state for extended periods of time, including overnight and weekends. EK is looking for a full-time Welder ready to work hard and build their welding experience with our team. We are looking for a new Welder that can weld on a wide variety of metals and alloys, navigate blueprints and directions successfully, and who is ready to take their welding skills to the next level. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES * Successfully read and understand blueprints, geometrical call outs, and weld symbols to meet or exceed client expectations. * Using GMAW-P, GMAW-S, and GTAW to effectively weld weldments, tanks, and metal parts together per the weld process specification sheet. * Performing welding on a wide variety of metals and alloys, including carbon steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and aluminum. * Hand layouts of weldments with little to no supervision or assistance. * Using fixtures, gauges, and jigs to manufacture welded parts to customer specifications. * Assist with creating work instructions. * Completing the first piece, in process, and final inspections using calipers, height gauges, protractors, and tape measures. * Pressure testing fuel tanks and hydro testing glycol tanks. * Analyzing weld processes and recommending process improvements. Full-time Description A Welder at D&H Industries performs a variety of welding utilizing MIG/Robotic Welders and Spot/Resistance Welders ensure components are being welded to engineered specifications. SCHEDULE: This is a 1st Shift position. Hours: Monday through Friday , 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., 10-hour shifts. Subject to change based on business need. Any Saturday work is based on business need and is voluntary. We will pay for experience and/or willing to train those new to welding. THE WHAT What will you be doing? Read blueprints/drawings and job routing and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements Set up components for welding according to specifications.
