GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Fab/Machine operator's set-up, operate, and maintain machinery. Responsible for ensuring the machine produces high quality products, runs smoothly and at capacity, and is properly maintained.
Fabrication involves cutting and bending of sheet metal for fabrication of Manitou products.
Shift Available: 1st Shift - Monday-Friday 5a-3:30p OR 2nd Shift - Monday-Thursday 3:30p-2a
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures; perform tasks in a safe manner.
Interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
Assists with procuring materials needed for production. Must use tape measure, square, protractor, dial caliper and plug gauges.
Must operate the various equipment including lasers and press brakes.
Responsible for completion for production and quality paperwork.
Contact Fabrication Manager, Supervisor or Fabrication Leader if problems arise.
In the event of an accident or injury immediately, notify the Shift supervisor on duty.
Contact the Maintenance Department to get equipment repaired when necessary.
Ability and willingness to take on additional assignments as requested by management.
Use tools, equipment and technology, computers or automated systems.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Check results for conformance to print and / or specifications and make necessary corrections.
Work with coworkers in a polite and courteous manner, providing cross training as needed.
Able to work overtime as required.
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. independently

Job Summary
Responsible for receiving, inspecting, and preparing parts for fabrication operations. Perform fabrication, assembly, and packaging operations.
Principal Responsibilities
* Fabricate fittings to customer specifications using customized fabricating equipment, hand, power tools, adhesives, and fixtures.
* Obtain components from stock/production.
* Set-up equipment to match product requirements.
* Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment and demonstrate good communication skills.
* Inspect completed parts.
* Prepare parts for shipping by placing them in boxes or on pallets.

TowerMRL and Advanced Tower Services have immediate openings for Telecommunication Tower Field Welder -Level 1 at entry level looking for professional and personal growth while traveling throughout the US. POSITION DOES REQUIRE LOCATION TO OUR COTTAGE GROVE, WI OR ALBUQUERQUE, NM LOCATION WITHIN 60 TO 120 DAYS OF EMPLOYMENT. Telecommunication Tower Field Welder -Level 1 will learn and be trained perform a wide variety of field specific job duties. We travel throughout the US and although the travel is extensive, we look to schedule employees for 2-3 weeks in the field at a time. Time off is backlogged after each deployment. Employees wanting greater pay have the option for longer assignments. All welders must be able to perform welding while in a fall protection harness, in rain, in wind, extreme heat, and extreme cold. Welding is not performed under ideal conditions. Welding "out of position" requires welders to complete welds with both hands and with items blocking your vision. A WELDER MUST BE WILLING AND ABLE TO CLIMB TO HEIGHTS OF 500' TO COMPLETE WELDING TASKS. GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Safely perform welding, weld components with welding equipment to fit and join, fabricate and/or repair heavy and large mechanical products per specifications and in accordance with the production schedule.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform weld duties
Weld components with weld equipment as specified by procedures, layout, blueprint, diagrams, work order and oral instruction
Have or must acquire the “basic” Weld Certification as the minimum requirement for all weld positions
Welds range from simple tacks to complex welds, performed in varying positions
Work includes set-up, laying out work using fixtures and guides to repair, modify or fabricate parts and/or equipment products
Operate and/or use related equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders, torches, drills, punches, tape measure and Air Arc
Read, understand and follow job order specifications, blueprints, work instructions and procedures

Monday through Friday
, 5 a.m. to 3 p.m., 10-hour shifts.
Subject to change based on business need. Any Saturday work is based on business need and is voluntary. We will pay for experience and/or willing to train those new to welding.

Read blueprints/drawings and job routing and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures. Determines the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
Set up components for welding according to specifications.

Produces complex welded assemblies to close tolerances to produce quality results.
